So here is my new dress. Right now all I have to go with it is an ivory, fingertip length veil with scattered crystals. How my hair is probably how it will be for the wedding day.

What do you think? Necklace...earrings...neither...both...headpeice???HELP!Now that I have a new dress...help me pick out accessories! : wedding NewDressNow that I have a new dress...help me pick out accessories! : wedding Newdress2

How are you wearing your hair? I think the waist embellisment is soo gorgeous I don't think you should take away from it. perhaps a simple pair of pearl studs and a simple pearl necklace with a drop pendant? or simple diamond studs with a simple drop pendant?  as far as headpiece... i'd definitely think a barette or hair slide that is blinged out :D... and perhaps have your hair in a french bun or chignon since the dress is so couture.

Thanks!! My hair will be just as it is above...maybe a little shorter since I need a trim. It's not really long enough to put up.  I have a cute pair of pearl studs that have a tiny diamond as a base.  I'm checking out Etsy right now. My mom said pearls too!

What a stunning dress!! If it were me I think I'd avoid a necklace and let the neckline of the dress speak for itself! I'd go with some lovely studs and perhaps something blinging and cute for your hair! Gorgeous!

I think that would look great with the dress!! I also would avoid a lot of other jewelry. I think the dress stands great alone!!

Is that a headband?  Would you wear it with the veil?

That's a headband...not sure if I would wear with a veil or not. Right now I have a one tier ivory fingertip lenght veil.

That headband would look great. The dress is beautiful and IMO looks better without a veil.

So pretty! I'd avoid a flower hairpiece as it'd either look very matchy-matchy with your waist flower or look totally different to it and therefore a bit odd. I'd go with simple stud earrings and a slight drop necklace as someone above suggested.

Thank you everyone for your opinions!! This dress seems kinda of hard to match up accesories with...everyone has VERY different opinions on what will go!

Your dress is GORGEOUS!  Who makes it?

I would probably keep jewelry simple.  Maybe a pair of pretty drop earrings and a simple bracelet.  Or a sparkly headband and a simple pendant necklace.  I'd just open up your jewelry box and see what kind of combination you might like most and go from there.

Seriously, the dress is so beautiful that whatever you do, you'll look stunning!

At risk of sounding crazy, I would wear a bridal hat that has a silk flower and some puffy tulle (no veil). Also a somewhat important necklace and short crocheted wedding gloves with a bridal clutch. Clutch and shoes can be in a different color (ie not white, bolder).

I really like this gown on you and how it looks on your body!!!

I don't think there's anything wrong with a simple necklace.  But I wouldn't do the veil, headpiece, earrings, and necklace altogether.  I'd go with the veil and your pearl/diamond earrings personally, with a small necklace as a backup to the earrings.

Wow, your dress is AH-MAZ-ING.  The detail at the waist with the belt?  It just makes me smile.  And I love the headband piece you have pictured.

Ok, so if it were me, I'd do:

    • The headpiece (and I'd skip the veil)
    • The pearl earrings you mentioned (keep it simple)
    • And maybe (MAYBE) a bracelet that ties in to everything.

I'd skip a necklace, and just let your dress shine!  Less is definitely more with this!  :)

    Thanks for all the suggestions!!

@gionnetto  That is a very interesting suggestion...I like the sound of it though!!

@soonerpsych Lol no I promise I wouldn't wear ALL those things together.

@bananapants  Thanks!! I absolutely love the detail on my dress!

I tried the dress on again today as we removed two layers of tulle from the bottom. NONE of the jewelry we tried worked...I have found lots of necklaces I liked but once I put them on it didn't work.

For now I have decided to wear just a headband like I posted above and the veil (for the ceremony only).I will probably have studs but because of my bob haircut you can't really see any earrings.

I think that you should wear at least earrings and a bracelet (really HOT right now) on the arm opposite the pattern.

The Bracelet on the bottom of this link B423 &E489 looks like it would match http://www.mariellonline.com/index.php/catalog/page/008/bridal-jewelry/

    or B608 & E543 at this link http://www.mariellonline.com/index.php/catalog/page/015/bridal-jewelry/.

    Very Pretty!

I think you could skip the necklace and just do simple earrings and maybe the hairpiece. the dress is stunning and is so beautiful on its own i dont think you should clutter it or take away from it! congrats!

I was looking through old threads I've posted on and came across this.  I posted on your other thread today and see that you're leaving for your wedding soon.  Just wondering what you decided on for accessories!  Laughing
