My best friend & my sister both got pregnant the first month (one had previousy been on hormonal bc, the other abstaining). We’re hoping for the same luck, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up!

It took us about 5 months, but I think it might have happened sooner if I hadn’t had a leg injury. We had about 1.5-2 months in the middle of the 5 month period where there was no trying what so ever- my knee had been dislocated and we couldn’t find a position that didn’t put pressure on it so we had to wait for it to heal enough to tolerate baby dancing.

DH & I want me to go off the pill and just see what happens! I really want to.. but I’m convinced I’ll get pregnant immediately. I’m dealing with an injury right now (in physical therapy for a bit) and maybe after that I’ll go off the pill 🙂

@pecanpie:  How long does your PT last?  At least for me, the first two months of pregnancy really weren’t that bad as far as things like weight gain, back pain, etc.  If you would still be in PT in your later months of pregnancy, I could see it being more of an issue. Maybe talk to your doctor or physical therapist and see what they say.  I could actually see being in decent shape from regular PT being a good way to start a pregnancy.

@nikkialys:  I just started, so I’m not quite sure yet. They wanted to see if I responded quickly to this type of therapy, so if I do, it shouldn’t take too long, not more than two months. I’ve been injured since July though and I’m just so sick of it, haha. I’m more concerned with some of the medicine I’m taking though, I’d prefer to not be on anything when we’re TTC.

I was one of those freak cases where it only took once. I got off BC when we got married and we use POM as our only form of BC for a good year before we had one slip up. It happened to fall exactly during my ovulation period and bam pregnant!

My DH and I have been NTNP since October and no BFP yet. I have not been on birth control for 9 yrs, which is frustrating for me because I have 3 sisters who all got pregnant their first month of trying.

We had unprotected random sex for two years. nothing.

We are currently TTC now that the wedding is over.

went off the pill in march and still not pregnant. to be fair, we were long distance until very recently and opportunities to BD were a little limited. =P

@monet11:  I was on the pill for around 3 years and it took my husband and I 8 months to conceive.  I just found out I was pregnant last week! I truely believe it took my body a while for the hormones to leave. My cycles also got kinda strange when I got off too.

4 months.  Not long at all, but we both have long family histories of “oops” and first try babies, so it was a little frustrating.  We legitimately tried the first month, and the following three were, “Ehh, whatever.”
