Kind of. This is our first cycle TTC, and we’ve decided to be waaay more laid back this time than we were last month. I am going to take OPKs for sheer curiosity – I want to know when I ovulate, since we apparently completely missed the FW last time.

Other than that, we’re just going to BD when we want to, and not because we feel pressure to do so in the FW. We’re a 2-3x per week couple anyway, so I figure our odds are still pretty good without forcing it at this point. However, I say “kind of” because we are very much ready to have a baby and were genuinely bummed when I didn’t get knocked up right away. We’re in our mid-20s and only on our second cycle of trying; for us, it’s too soon to be temping and charting and all that.

I obsessed over documented all of my symptoms last time, so next TWW, if I feel the urge to symptom spot, I can remind myself that I felt sooo pregnant last time and wasn’t

Will be here with you soon!

We are planning to pull the goalie in January because we decided to wait until after the holidays are over.  I don’t want to feel guilty anytime I may want to drink at a holiday party, or get PG our first cycle and have morning sickness during the holidays.

We are going to NTNP, I don’t want to stress out over BBT’s OPK’s and telling DH we “have” to BD right now! The only thing I’m doing is using an app called love cycles to track AF and symptoms with it.  I haven’t been on BC for years, and AF can get a little off schedule sometimes.

I can’t wait to start this journey! 🙂  Good luck to you!

ETA: Our friends and family ask us all the time when we’ll have a baby.  We just say, “hopefully sometime next year”.  We don’t plan on telling people we are trying, or not trying, because I don’t want to be bombarded with questions about it or accused of being PG everytime I have a headache or gas pains. LOL

Give me a few months and I’ll be able to say the we are! We’ve been together for 7 years, closed on our first house in August, so we’ll just let whatever happens happen.

I accidentally just started another thread very similar to this. DH and I are currently NTNP, but we definitely want to conceive- we’re just not stressing out about it, and therefore not charting/temping in any way.

@blondie_bride:  We’re there! We are totally open to (and excited about)  possibly having a baby but we’re not doing anything to actively help conceive. It’s only been one cycle since I stopped BCP so it could happen this month. If we don’t get pregnant by next summer we will probably start actively trying.

Well this was me for about 2 seconds, we only used the POM for the last 7 years then we decided we’d like to NTNP, but it only took one time for him not to pull out and BOOM pregnant!

I’m 28 in 2 weeks and husband is 30! We were actively TTC without charting (but very calculated and watching CM and body adjustnents and such)

In October.

this time around we are ntnp. I’m not checking CM Im not wondering when or if I ovulated. We have sex when we want to which is almost every other day anyways and it’s always passionate.

If we get pregnant. Great! If not I’m just as happy because then I’m not as huge in the Summer  with my heat intolerance. (I should just move to the arctic until I’m done haha)

@blondie_bride:  I’m in the same boat! Finished my last pack of BC last week, so I’m just kind of excited to be on this next “step” of life, just the idea of not preventing pregnancy… it’s been so long that I’ve been trying to prevent it, it’s kind of refreshing to just let whatever happens, happen!

As for telling people baby plans, I’ve made sure to tell everyone that we aren’t planning to get pregnant until after our big travel plans in June – I just don’t want everyone judging my every move and guessing all the time, I want it to be a surprise when we announce it! 🙂

Oh right. And I’ve had multiple people ask.  We say “eventually in the near future”. I think any other methodical response is just unwarranted and keeping it simple is good enough.
