Hmmm..I saw on four weddings where they incorporated the teacher theme (which is kind've easier to do) but I haven't seen any medical references. For the teacher you could incorporate apples into your center pieces or place cards. I saw someone who had actual apples and they cut holes in the top and stuck the place cards inside. On the show, they had a signature drink and listed the ingrediants in a picture frame looking like a report card.
For nurses..hmmm..

PS: I'm going to be a teacher and SO is a police officer, so I totally want to SOME HOW incorporate that without being cheesy or over the top. How all american can you get thought lol nurses, teachers, cops, etc. Love it.
maybe you can have candy that resembles pill? like those little redhots, jelly beans, m&m's?

For the nurse portion you could have your menus on hospital clipboards? Dolled up of course but have a fake chart on them or something?

What about making programs for your ceremony so they can also duel as a fan but glue them onto tongue depressers if you get what I mean? Also, you could use the symbol like S + J but the plus will also be inside a heart (plus sign for hospital sign). You could make your favors cookies but cut out in nurses shapes, for example a nurses hat. You could also integrate them into your cake topper :)

Hi Everyone!
I'm a nurse and my fiance is a high school teacher. We are looking for fun small ways to incorporate our careers into our wedding. They are a big part of who we are so we wanted some fun causal ways to show that. I was thinking about making the drink tickets to look like detension slips? But, I am struggling to getting the nurse part in there without it looking too medical or doctor related.
Any suggestions?
