We found our baby furniture this weekend & now I'm actually excited about the upcoming nursery! I know I have lots of time seeing that I'm only 14 weeks & won't even know if it's a boy or girl til end of March.....but I now have the bug! ha!

Where did you or will you find your nursery inspiration? I think if it's a girl that will be very easy for me....but little boy's room not so much. I don't want to do anything like cartoon characters (example Winnie the Pooh...) that just isn't me..... just thinking about color combo's etc....

And if you have a pic of your already done nursery...EVEN BETTER! I'd love to see it!

I'm still a ways out from nursery planning but another Bee posted this as playroom inspiration and I loved it and have saved it in the back of my mind for a nursery someday!

I don't have a picture of my room done yet, but I have some inspiration I put together.

I got my inspiration first by looking around for "crib bedding" and things like that on Etsy.  I also enjoy reading pregnancy/mommy blogs because you can always get ideas from what they've done.

    @Mrs.KMM:

Oh! that is super cool and really fun!

I have a theme in mind already. Something from my husband's teenage years that we saved from his old bedroom. :)

These are my inspiration pics! It's funny because I was dead set on blue and brown regardless of having a boy or girl.

This is the rocker in the color I want.

These are the colors I want (more green in the blue). This isn't a nursery but I love that artwork, definitely think I want to do more "art" than baby decor.

And another (non-nursery) for color. Love the dark wood.

However I do have these two prints I bought years ago because I loved them, the colors aren't quite right but I might find a way to work them in.

@camrie: Those blue colors are soooo soothing. Reminds me of a spa :)

@shelbifox15: That 2nd to last photo actually IS a spa (it belongs to my husband's uncle).

Definitely want to go with soothing. I hate how everything for kids is all crazy patterned and kind of visually jarring.

@Mrs.KMM: I had that picture bookmarked as well, but when I started working on collecting all of the letters it was turning out to be way too expensive :( I still love it though... you should start getting things together early!

@tiramisu: Can't wait to see yours!  I have the rug in the room, but our dressers are sadly a few weeks from being delivered. :(  I should have our comforter any day now, so when that comes maybe I'll post a picture of what we have so far! :)

@shelbifox15: Out of fear we don't want a traditional bumper, but we are considering a breathable one!

@shelbifox15: I work in NICU and we recommend against using bumper pads. They have been associated with an increased risk of SIDS ... I won't be using them in the nursery when I have a baby!

@Mrs.KMM:&@tiramisu: I think I'm going to try this with pictures of letters. Maybe go to yard sales, Goodwill, TJ Maxx, and Ross to find random picture frames. It'd be fun collecting the letters around different places and then the frames.

project nursery has a bunch of really cool ideas.

Oh and when and if we have a little one I am totally going owl theme. I know I know its so popular right now but I've been into owls since before it was cool to be into them.  I have collected a bunch over the years.

    I love these
