Have you had any luck finding & buying nice dresses that you can wear to a wedding or a nice evening out?

Nope!  I am going to a wedding tomorrow evening, I couldn't find anything so I'm just wearing an old strapless dress that I've had for years.  Bummer.  Somehow it does provide enough support, I just can't wear my nursing bra so I'm gonna be a hot mess.

@jennifer_espos: Ugh, that's my worry with not finding anything for myself either.  I considered strapless, but haven't found anything I loved and my little man is a tugger nowadays so I worry about an accidental peep show while everyone is eating dinner or something, lol.

Not that isn't out of my price range.  Zulily had some (I wish I could remember the brand right now) about 2 or 3 weeks ago that were adorable and if shipping had been faster, (2 weddings in less than 3 weeks) I would have totally bought one but regular price they were not in my budget.  Let me see if I can find the brand.

Found it.  It was Heather Lehmann.  I thought the Marie dress would look cute with a dressy cardigan and heels for a wedding.

I bought that Heather Lehmann "Marie" dress at the zulily sale to wear to weddings! It works, and is pretty, but I wish the bust were larger. My chest is out of control now that I'm nursing. Still, it's the best I've found for wedding attire.

OMG. Are all clothing that allow for nursing that expensive??? Do you buy these only for special occasions??? I might have a family wedding to go to in May which is right after I'm due...oh geez.

@regberadaisy: Not necessarily.  Good dress up clothes for nursing, kind of yes but not for normal, everyday nursing wear.

I have some really cute ones bookmarked on my laptop at home.   Of course I'm at work right now and don't remember the name of the company.  I'll try to remember to post the link when I get home... otherwise feel free to PM me if I forget!

Can you just wear a regular dress? I went to a wedding while nursing and wore a dress from BCBG with my strapless bra and good old nursing pads! I didn't nurse at dinner or anything, I did find a private area and I was more worried about leaking than anything else. Everything was fine! Don't worry!

I was going to say Zulily too. They sometimes have the most adorable nuring clothing.

I went to a wedding when DS was about 6 weeks old and just wore a regular dress from White House Black Market that had a crossover bodice, my regular nursing bra and nursing pads. We left DS at home, but I had to pump twice during the wedding. It worked out ust fine.

I just wear regular dresses, either v-neck or strapless, so there's easy access.

I wore a V-neck crossover dress that worked really well at a recent wedding.  Side benefit was that it was a very Mad Men look :)

Not nursing, but a friend of mine was during my wedding and she just wore black pants with a nice top I think. She went to another wedding without her baby and she just wore a normal dress, she changed right before she left the baby and went to nurse during cocktail hour at her MIL's house so she just took the dress off there.

I found some pretty nice dresses at http://www.milknursingwear.com/

I bought this one http://www.milknursingwear.com/store/pc/Everyday-dress-3p59.htm in turquoise for date nights out with FI.

This one looks like it could be wedding appropriate, and it is under $50  http://www.milknursingwear.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=2154

They do run pretty big, so I would suggest ordering a size down if you order from them. HTH! Good luck finding something, because it's slim pickings out there!

I bought a nice strapped dress that was my all purpose dress.  It had 3 inch straps, but was very nice.  It also hid my mama belly, lol.
