I am losing my job in about a week and I’m thinking I need a change of pace. I am looking to get away from patients for a bit and possibly switch it up to something like peer reivew, case management, or utlization review. Do any of you nursing/healthcare provider BEES have experience with that? Do you like it? Where are the best jobs for that? ARE there even jobs for that??

Lily_of_the_valley: Yes, there are jobs like that. I’m a RN and currently work in a rehab center. We have a MDS team who review the patients’ charts, and make sure there are no “gaps” or holes basically. They spend most of the day in their office, but they do have to come out to ask the patients a few questions (in the room 5 mins tops) and ask the nurse basic questions (how the patient ambulates, what level of assistance they require). I’m not sure what all their job entitles, but there’s hardly any patient contact, but they are nurses and make the same amount that we do on the floor. Sounds like something you might be interested in. Good luck!
Forgot to add, they work M-F, 9-5, no holidays.

NK2012: Thanks for the response! This is something I would consider…I’ll add rehab centers to my list of applications!! Thanks again!
