@kprobst218:  I am a full time diagnostic imaging and sonography student.  Thankfully my fiance is paying all the bills now and I dont have to have a job.  Planning the wedding has been very stressful with class and clinic.  After being engaged for over a year and planning over a year with the wedding right around the corner I wish things would have waited or we would have had a different type of wedding.  The main thing I have found that is really hard to work around is all the consultations with the different vendors and what not.  Especially since my fiance has a complete opposite schedule as me.  Looking back over the last year and my stress levels I wish we would have just eloped or had a small destination wedding.  I will literally be having finals 3 days before the wedding.  Go on the honeymoon, come back and already have clinic/class the next day.  I dont have a wedding planner either so I have done everything myself.  I would recommend if your going to get married while in school and can afford a planner then get one!!!

@kprobst218:  My FI and I both went to nursing school together (we met before school). We decided to wait to get engaged until after we were finished and had jobs. He proposed this January and we are getting married in November.

I’m in nursing school now, we’re getting married in December during winter break and I graduate Feb 14′. We really wanna get married and I don’t wanna wait to finish school because then I’ll have the Nclex to worry about, applying to jobs. Plus my bestfriend is getting married June 14′ and if I wait till graduation to get married it’ll be too close to her date. And I’m not up for waiting months after her wedding to get married.

As far as planning goes, so far so good! We picked our date last November so I’ve doing wedding stuff bit by bit so that I don’t get overwhelmed. So far we have our guestlist, venue, Dj, photographer, pastor, decorations, my dress, what we need for our unity ceremony. Next month we’ll take pictures and order our invitations.
