I saw a nutritionist back in college. She wasn't very helpful as far as teaching me things I already didn't know. If you are looking for recipes, have you considered looking at sites like Cooking Light or Spark Recipes?
I visited one a few times not to lose weight, but just to eat healthier and found her very helpful in explaining what i should be eatting and when. she looked at my eatting habits (i had to bring a food log) and made suggestions of things i could switch to be healthier, but that worked with my current habits. she also gave me tons of recipies and taught me how to read lables and things to look for.
catlady, i just realised we're both june 26, toronto brides! :) i don't know where you are in toronto, but the nutritionist i saw is in markham and i can't say enough good things about her. pm me if you're interested in her contact info.
Does insurance normally cover a nutritionist?

Hello fitness bees,
Although I'm not overly heavy, I'm currently seeing a personal trainer as I'd like to lose 10-15 lbs. The only problem is it's a very stubborn 10-15 lbs. It seems like no matter how much I work out, I can't lose weight.
Now I am considering a nutritionist to help me figure out my diet. I'm a huge foodie which is probably why I find it difficult to stick to a diet.
Has anyone tried seeing a nutritionist? If so, does the nutritionist provide healthy recipes to help me get on the right path?
