My thoughts are try a holistic health coach or an integrative nutritionist. You need someone that will take an integrative approach and look at everything. It could simply be an allergy or even wedding stress.
have you seen your family doctor or general practitioner first? sounds like they should be able to handle it and then if they think you need to see a specialist, they can refer you to the right person (probably GI).
you sound like you might be dehydrated before you start your runs. have you been drinking enough water daily? how long are your runs and do you stretch/cool-down afterwards? have you changed your eating habits majorly recently?

Bees, I need your help!
I've been a runner for 3 months now, but I've just recently started getting side stitches and horrible abdominal cramps when I run. I haven't upped my intensity all that much, and I'm being mindful to not eat at least an hour before a run. This problem happens relatively soon into my runs, around the first mile or two, and it's so frustrating! I'm currently training for a half marathon, but I don't know what to do if I can't even get two miles without keeling over in pain.
I just feel like I'm trying so hard to go out and better my body and mind, but that my body is against me. Ugh. :(
My question is regarding what kind of specialist to see. I'm nervous that if I see a regular GI doctor he'll tell me that I have IBS and to stop running since it exaggerates it. I want to get to the root of the problem so I can fix it and hopefully run in my half marathon.
Any thoughts?
