Soooo all you lovely bees may have changed my stobborn mind on a first look, and not Im digging it so much Im trying to convince FI to do one! Despite how much he says “It feels weird to see you before the ceremony.” and “No one else has done it (speaking of his family, this is a very common saying, another rant to be posted soon…)” I think he will be SO glad we did it, both for practicality (photos are a biatch) and because I wan’t that special moment just to be between the two of us 🙂
My basic timeline for the first look, photos and ceremony:
12.30 – first look session.
1 – bridal party arrive, begin bridal party shoot at first look location.
1.30 – travel to first photo location (all locations are on the way to the ceremony site)
1.45 – photo shoot at first location
2 – travel to second location
2.10 – photoshoot at second location
2.30 – travel to final location
2.45 – photoshoot at final location
3 – groom and groomsmen leave for ceremony site (5 minutes away)
3.20 photographer leaves for ceremony site
3.25 – bridal party leave for ceremony site
3.30 – ceremony
3.50 – finish of ceremony, begin receiving/refreshments
4 – begin extended family shoot
4.20 – begin close family shoot, guests begin to leave for reception site (40 minutes away, opens at 5)
4.35 – begin bridal party shoot at ceremony location, parents/friends to begin cleanup
4.45-5 – everyone leave for reception
Anywho, my question is actually very simple:
with us taking so many of our important photos beforehand, including detailed shots, I want to have photos of my rings. Should I wear my rings for the shoot, and have the best man take them after the shoot at the final location? How did you do it?
Also for bees with more knowledge than I, how does my timeline look? I know I have left tonnes of time, but I was thinking I might push our morning back a bit and all this will be shuffled forward half an hour to an hour 🙂
