We wore our rings all morning for our pictures and handed them to the best man right before going to the ceremony. Also, I would keep the extra time. We had extra time as well and we had a lot of fun just hanging it with our wedding party. It’s much better to have a bit of extra time than feeling rushed!

@FutureMrsHallam:  I think you are underestimating how long it will take to get people in and out of cars, set up for pics and change poses.  15 mins to get out of the cars, walk to where the pics will actually happen, set up, photog sets up, and get in a few pics isn’t very long.

It is a lot of moving and changing locations.  Also since the BP won’t be with you the first bit, I think you need to build in some buffer time for people being a few minutes late, traffic etc.

I would see if you could cut out one of the locations, and focus on the other 2.  It doesn’t seem worth it in my opinion to travel to 3 different locations, if you are only going to get 2-3 shots at each one.

Also depending on how many combinations of extended family and close family shots, there isn’t a lot of time to heard people in and out, make sure great Aunt Sally isn’t missing etc.

By setting up people I mean telling them stand over there by that tree, bob you stand by Sally, Fritz you and Eunice a little more left.

Sounds like you’ve got it covered. Good luck.

@FutureMrsHallam:  all of my friend who did first looks wore their rings too 🙂 I also felt better knowing it was on my hand versus having the best man carry it around all day (because I’m a bit paranoid lol).

I wore my rings for the photos beforehand.  We got almost all of our photos done beforehand it and it really helped me be able to relax after the wedding.  Plus my reception was in the same location so I couldn’t really take 2 hours off.  I didn’t really feel super rushed at all.

It was really nice seeing him before the wedding because I think I would have been freaking out if I hadn’t seen him at all that day.  I got pretty anxious about 10 minutes before and I think it would have been a lot worse if I hadn’t seen him yet!

Timeline looks good but I would think about adding in 15-20 min before the ceremony for everyone to fix themselves, their hair, makeup, etc.  It seems like arriving there 5 minutes early people might feel rushed…especially if your photos are outside!  We definitely needed time to adjust ourselves before the ceremony.

We didn’t wear our rings. My husband was fine with the first look but he really wanted to wear his ring when we were married, not before. We had our officiant hold onto them and it was fine. Re: getting some photos with your rings on, I’m pretty sure your photog will want to take at least a few couples shots right after the ceremony. There’s something pretty magical about two people who just got married…
