I don't have any advice but good luck! Does this mean he is going overseas soon?
For graduation you want to dress nice, but not overkill. When my husband graduated from Naval OCS there was some walking so comfortable shoes are probably a good idea- I'm not sure was AF basic entails and what they do. I'm assuming it will be chilly as well so you may want to dress for the weather.
Really, the best advice I have is to show up and feel good about what you're wearing. Your husband is going to be so happy to see you. Before I saw mine I put on his favorite perfume and he mentioned to me a few days later how good he thought I smelled. It was silly, but I was deeply flattered he noticed. I wore a pencil skirt, thick tights, ankle boots, and a nice sweater. You'll see some people dressed super casual and others dressed in suit/ties- I'm not religious but I think "church attire" may be your best bet. :) Goodluck!
Oh, and if you have other military questions (or want to read about your benefits) I highly reccommend that idiots guide to military benefits. Lots of great information and it explains almost everything about military life.
My FI graduated from AF basic training last January and it was so cold! Definetly wear comfortable shoes because you do tons of walking! The first time you will get to see him is during the Airman's Run, but I didn't see my FI so I don't know if you will be able to catch yours! Then later that day is the Coin Ceremony, and you get to see him for the first time :) We have been together for 4 years and I was still sooo nervous haha. Anyway, after the ceremony (which is outside so bring warm clothes!) you get to meet up with them and hang out on base. We ate at one of the restaurants on base and just looked around. BTW, my FI cried when he saw me for the first time so no matter what you're wearing he will probably be floored ;). The next day we went to the graduation parade outside, and it was FREEZING again and it took like 45 mins. After that, we were allowed to leave and go visit around San Antonio (check out the Riverwalk & The Alamo!). He has to wear his Blues, and if he gets caught out of them he gets in tons of trouble! We just did a lot of cheesy stuff, we went to a ridiculous wax museum, and messed around in the Riverwalk and malls. TONS of people bought us drinks and congratulated him, it was really touching :). He has a curfew, and I'm sure he will be afraid of being late haha. The next morning we were able to pick him up early and spend the whole day with him. He really just wanted to go back to the hotel and take a long nap haha, so we did. Then we ventured out and explored the city some more. There was a hockey game that night, and any Airman that attended was allowed to stay out past curfew (I know from some of his friends, they usually do this with other events, ie-basketball games, etc.) Long story short, it is so fun to see them again!! Explore the base too! Lackland is one of the biggest bases, but it was fun to look around and get a feel of what my life will be like for the next 3 years! Keep me posted on where you guys get stationed if he is active duty. What is his AFSC?
I hope this helps you a little bit! Here are some pics of the coin ceremony, the graduation parade, the alamo, us with wax forrest gump, and at the hockey game.
Good Luck!
WEAR WATERPROOF MASCARA!!
And as mentioned before - look nice (think more church less suit) - whatever you wear - feel comfortable and confident. There will be a wide range of what people wear, so just be comfortable and confident... with waterproof mascara on. :)

MY husband will be graduating from basic training on Decemember 31st at Lackland Air Force Base. Do any of you ladies out there have any tips and tricks for a newbie? I know this is not wedding related but I am at a total loss of what to take and wear and all those things a girl needs to know! :) We were only married five months when he left so I dont want to do something silly! Thank you in advance...
