I feel so old! lol In college, I was out every weekend (Thurs-Sun). I was always partying and hanging out. I got into some trouble during my senior year so I slowed down a lot. Now that I've graduated and I work full-time, most of my weekends are curling up with my blanket, a movie, and my Sims game lol. FH works nights sometimes, so I'm usually left to myself. My bff and I went to the club for my birthday last month and I did not have fun! We didn't know half of the songs they were playing (or the dances that went with them), these sleazy guys kept trying to talk to us, and I actually got sleepy around 11pm lol. I had more fun when FH and I just went to dinner and when my bff and I hung out at her place. Don't get me wrong, I still like to go out every now and then, but partying is not super exciting anymore.

Any other 20-somethings who are done with the partying lifestyle?? Out of my college and Facebook friends, it seems like I'm the only one lol.

I'm almost 25 now but I totally felt the same way by the time I graduated college.  I wasn't much of a partier before either but now I'm even less so!  Just means you're growing up =)

I'm 25 and I have definitly gotten out of the party stage and i can say i don't miss it one bit! i would say from 18-22 i was out all the time but the past 2 1/2 to 3 years i have completely settled down.  i love my lazy nights at home - i almost cant believe i've become such a homebody compared to my past. Though i do still love a good saturday night out with other couples getting a little tipsy ;) doesnt happen too often..maybe once a month but honestly i wouldnt trade my lifestyle for the world.

*what really makes me feel old is a 10:30 bedtime - which it usually is during the week. haha! i mean im 25 not 50. If i am out during the week, which is really rare i find myself watching the clock figuring out how much sleep im going to get

I'm now 27, but I started to feel that way pretty much right after I turned 21 and it was all "allowed". I still enjoyed going out the last year of college but I definitely slowed down on my drinking.

After I started working I'd enjoy going out once a week or so (at most) as long as I was home by 11 or so.

Now I'm right there with you, I'd much rather relax at home with some good wine (or good beer) and just chill. No super crowded bars or uncomfortable shoes.

I'm the exact same way!  I'm going to be 24 next month, and I'm just not into the club/bar scene anymore.  When I do go to bars, I just think about how I could have better food/drinks/music at home for cheaper, and I feel like I'm older than most of the people at the bar!  DH and I like going out to this one gourmet pub near our house that's more of a 20s-30s, yuppie crowd, which I guess is what we now are.

I think you're just maturing faster than many of your FB friends--you have a degree, a job, a fiance... Nothing wrong with being a grown up!

LOL im with you girl! I would rather be at home with my soon to be hubby then go to a club and be one of the oldest people there... At least that is what it feels like! I still go out to the bar sometimes with my man and close friends but not very often AT ALL, and i go out with my girlfriends for girl days but no more girls nights out... Not my thing anymore, dont like being hungover the next day so i dont drink much anymore either. My weekends usually consists of watching a movie with my FI and drinking a small glass of wine, and church sunday mornings :) im happy with that!!

    Oh I just turned 24 :)

I'm 22 and I love to party- occasionally. It's really rare that I heard to a club, but when I do I do it right, haha. I generally prefer to lounge around at home with a bottle of wine.

@totheislnds: I totally understand the 10:30 bedtime!! That's my bedtime too, but I will go to bed earlier if I need to lol.

yay! I'm not the only one! In July I got suuuuper wasted because I forgot that my alcohol tolerance is not what it used to be :-( I woke up the next morning and threw up 3 times..it was massive! Let's just say, I stick to one glass of Moscato now lol.

@roxy821: I got engaged at 22, will be married 2 months before my 24th birthday, and we'll probably TTC around 27 or 28. We're waiting a while because I want to be finished with my Master's by then.

Lol, I never really got into it. I'm actually going back to my parent's this weekend to celebrate a friend's 21st and all I feel is dread. I would rather stay here (DH doesn't want to go so I'm solo), sit on the couch, have a couple rum and cokes and be silly with the DH. The thought of going out to a bar is just bleh to me.

    Edit: I'm 23

I'm 26 and feel the same exact way.  I love going out to dinner and having a few drinks, but that's it.  I don't like getting "drunk" and partying anymore.   My body can't take it anymore - I get 2 day hangovers whenever I drink too much.  Ugh.  FI is 27, almost 28, but he still enjoys partying, lol.  I don't understand...

I was never a huge partyer, but now I definitely not up for it. Any time I do go to a club I am reminded why I hate it so much: sticky floors, people spilling on you, hot and sweaty, expensive drinks, cabs, etc. I prefer hanging out at home with my fiance and, before I moved away, going for Starbucks with a couple of friends.

Oh, and I just turned 25.

@hisgoosiegirl: Ahhh..the 21st bday party..I don't even remember mine lol. I hope you have fun though!

It's crazy because before I turned 21, I drank like it was no one's business! Then I got a DUI two months after my 21st bday and I slowed down A LOT! DUI's are not worth it. I think now I have one or two drinks every month (except in July..I learned my lesson).

I ask myself that all the time.  I'm 24, engaged, and work a 7-4 shift.  I have the bedtime of a small child, and nothing about the bar scene appeals to me.  I do enjoy happy hour at Applebee's though.  That's when you know you're done for!

I just turned 23 yesterday, and I'm not into going out partying at all anymore. I had a baby when I was 21, so that definitely slowed me down. I'd much rather have a nice family dinner with my son and fiance, than go out drinking, just to be hung over the next day. Every once in a while I do enjoy it, like twice a year, but other than that, I'd much rather just watch a movie.

I am 23 and I have done my fair share of partying in college and for awhile after college. Now I cannot stand going out to like clubs or anything. Its just not fun for me anymore. I would much rather curl up on the couch with a glass of wine and watch a good movie. For some reason I got over that phase pretty early and I dont really mind it. I also cant stay up super late like I used to. I'm yawning by like 10pm and ready to curl up in bed with my FI.

I never got into it, I've always been a homebody and at 21 I have more than enough on my plate with homework, rehearsals and applications that I don't see the point in going out. Plus I don't drink and my asthma just loves being around smoke.

Big nights for us are when we get together with our "young marrieds" group. Those nights we might actually stay out until 9 or so. And those nights consist of going to a couple's house, eating dinner and talking, or maybe going to a matinee after getting lunch at Cheddars.

(I'm so ready for BIL to grow out of the partying stage, every conversation does not need to be about alcohol, especially at a funeral luncheon)

@misssydneyj: I was never big on going out and getting pished. Still not lol. I do enjoy hanging out at the barn with friends playing DND with a beer or two, or even going out to dinner and getting some wine, but really... I love curling up with board games or video games. Relaxing. :)

@vmblai1019: FH and I love board games! He's addicted to the game of Life.

@Knubbsy-Wubbsy: I have asthma too, and I tried to smoke that green stuff in college (trying to be the life of the party), but it didin't work out lol. Now I just puff on my Pro-Air inhaler.

I was never a partier in college.  Waste of time and energy, I'm an introvert and enjoy myself best when I'm alone.

I'm 21 and I'm over it.  I've never been a huge partier (I don't like being drunk or seeing drunk people making awful life choices) but it's become really unappealing to me now that I'm legal, haha.  Funny how things like that work.

LOL!! Thank goodness I'm not the only one!!! A lot of my friends make jokes on why I don't go out as much anymore... I'm 25 and I'm so over that stage... Actually I was over it when I was 22 and met my husband. (Well, I've known my husband for 10 years, only because he's my brothers BFF!) but you know what I mean.

Anyway, You're not alone!! Sometimes the smaller things in life are what matters, whether it's staying in with your fiance/hubby or going to bed early like old folks (like my husband and I, LOL!)

I haven't gone out since the summer after turning 21 (May 2009).  It lasted about two months and I got over it.  Now I am engaged, working 3-4 12 hour shifts and trying to get my life started/stable.  There are times I wish I could be a bit more care free, but it passes quickly.  I find people my age that still go out and drink constantly kind of pathetic.   One of the girls that works at my place just turned 35 and I swear to you that she's at some kind of bar or drinking at least 6 days out of the week.

I guess I partied myself out while I was underaged.

@MissPumpkinPie: Wow 35?? That's pathetic. I totally feel you on trying to get a stable lifestyle going. I am going through that transition too.

@ForeverGandJ: Lol! Last night FH fell asleep at 9 and I kept dozing off during the show "Plain Jane", which goes off at 10. As soon as it was over, I was out like a light!

I love how there are so many 20-somethings who decided to start having a stable life instead of partying everyday. Some people are actually shocked when I say that I don't go out a lot.

I'm giving this thread a huge LIKE!

I'm 23 (and a HALF! Tongue out) and so don't like going out anymore. I, too, get tired early. I just don't find it as fun and exciting as it was when it was new, if that makes any sense.

Mainly, I can just as easily have a drink at home, without having to get dressed up ;)

Uh yeah, 21 and have never gotten the fun of crazy drunken partying. THe group of people I hang out with manage to do some seriously insane stuff and all of it sober. If we were impaired it would be bad.

Im 21 and Im over it. I went to parties all through high school and when I first turned 21 I was out every Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat. But it got old after a couple months. I would rather drink at home with friends and just hang out, instead of going to a bar and wasting $25 on 5 drinks, when I could get a friggen case of beer for that. lol

@MsPiggy: I only drink at one club if my bartender is there. If he's not there, or if we go to a different club, I don't drink lol. He gives my friends and me $3 drinks instead of the usual $9 or $10 price.

I'm 22 and clubs hurt my ears and drinking makes me sleepy, and I'm okay with that!

I'm happy enough going out once in a while for a big event, but I've finished uni now and I'm happy being 'old and boring' :)
