Lately I see Justin Bieber EVERYWHERE, and everytime I do I find myself trying not to vomit. It’s like nails on chalkboard…. there is something about him that just rubs me the wrong way! I don’t know if it’s because he is like 13 and frequently uses the word Baby which I find super creepy, or if it’s his hair… but I just can’t stand him! When the latest issue of Rolling Stone arrived and I saw his face on the cover I dropped it like it was kryptonite!
The grammy performance with him and Will Smith’s son was just too much for me to handle… my gag reflex was on overdrive. So gross.
It’s like Baby, Baby, Baby… I WANT TO PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE!!

oh my goodness. My six year old HATES him. All her classmates are obsessed with him and she can’t stand it. She’s like mom, he’s not even cute.

Hahaha…Since I’m technically old enough to be his mother, I’m going to give him a break and refrain from snarking. I find all those kid stars trying to act like grownups a bit disturbing, including Will Smith’s kids. It’s like watching those kid pageants with the six year old girls dressed up and painted like dolls.

It means that you are a grown up now LOL After growing out of my New Kids on the Block phase I tend to not like any boy band now. He is plenty annoying but he got a haircut. So he must want to grow up a little. His GF probably made him do it. Sad thing is they are primeing up his next replacement already. It never ends.

Yeah, I’m not a fan. And that’s putting it lightly.

He’s got to hit puberty soon. Hopefully after that happens his “dreamy” voice will be no more and the fad will be over.

My six year old niece said she just wants to get close enough to him ONCE so she can mess up his hair. she said … “He’s pretty girly” … love that kid!

It’s not just the tweens that love him though! Most of my friends are in their late 20s/early 30s and some of them just love him (not in the “he is so sexy” way, more so in the “he is so cute and talented i just can’t get enough” way). Even my 34 year old FI seems to be jumping on the Bieber bandwagon. The other day he was on an interview and I quickly changed the channel, and my FI said “he’s actually really talented… I saw a video of him playing drums when he was five and he was really great…. he has worked hard to get where he is”
Worked hard?!?! He isn’t even old enough to drive!!
I just don’t get it.

Yes!!! I cannot stand him!! Whenever he’s on TV, I find myself telling him to shut up hahahhaa. Then I change the channel!
I also find it SICK that there are little kid shirts that say “The Future Mrs. Beiber”. My child would not be allowed to wear that!!

No I find the media obnoxious.

I can honestly say that I’ve never heard a Justin Bieber song. Not even once. And, as my husband likes to point out, I thought his last name was “Beaver” until that Superbowl commercial with Ozzie. So I guess I haven’t really seen/heard any of the hype.
However, I do think his videos on funnyordie.com are hilarious. I want a lollipop!

@Atalanta: I agree. It’s not like he’s begging to be mentioned every ten seconds. But you know the media they’ll put you high enough and wait for the right moment to kick you down.

Yeah, I’m not a fan…mostly it all just confuses me. I feel like even if I was high school aged I wouldn’t be into him. Plus, anyone who’s writing their autobiography at 16 is going to get a big ol’ eyeroll from me.
I will say this though, I am a huge Glee fan and I actually kinda liked the beiber numbers they did. That’s the kind of high school shlock I can get in to. 🙂

@Mrs. Spring: LOL, I also though his last name was Beaver! I’d never seen or heard of him except my husband mentioning him and making fun of him. Then I forgot and botched the name even worse in my head, and when I saw him on TV I asked my husband, “Is this the Jason Squirrel kid you were talking about?”.

@meliss: Hahahahahah! I love it! Jason Squirell!
