I am super-duper nosy. Thankfully my mom, who lives four states away, sent me a huge box of presents to unwrap one each day between now and Christmas, which has kept me distracted from my other gifts thus far.

I am also a terrible secret keeper about gifts. If I buy presents too early, everyone knows what I bought them before Christmas.

I am ridiculous with presents!!!  As a child I would get up in the middle of the night and carefully unwrap all my gifts and then maticulously rewrap them.  CRAZY!!  I am better now but still have my nosey moments

@GreenEyedMoon: I am not! Honestly, i hate knowing it before christmas (or birthday or whatever). Once as a child my super-nosy sister found one of my presents in our parents wardrobe, and of course she showed it to me. I hated her for doing this, i even almost cried because it wasn’t a surpise anymore

I’m not. I love being surprised, and until this year, my husband sucked at it. He would ask me, before he bought my gift, if it was something I wanted. It took all the fun out of it.

Well this year I didn’t hear a peep for him. I even worried for a few days that he had just plum forgotten to get me anything…which is completely unfair to him, but really, he can be very forgetful sometimes.

So we’re leaving town tomorrow, and decided to do Christmas between just us tonight, and he leaves for an hour or two. Comes home, tells me to stay in our bedroom (which I would have, I was packing our bags), then after a bit calls me into the living room, where there’s what I can only describe as a blanket fort set up, chairs and all.

I lift the top blanket off to find a leather recliner we had both been lusting over for months. Wide enough that we can both comfortable sit on it at the same time.

    I love surprises.

Not so much anymore but you better believe I was when I was younger. I use to find the sharpest knife I could and I would cut along the seams of the gift to open it and then tape it back up. It got to the point where my parents had to put a padlock on their bedroom door to keep me out! I couldn’t help myself. If I knew they were in the house I just HAD to snoop!

I hate knowing people have gifts for me.  I never snooped when i was a kid, i just tried not to think about it, we were forbidden, FORBIDDEN, to enter their room under any circumstances with out knocking and being given permission.

I’m the worst when it comes to gift giving.  I always give really obvious clues or flat out hand it to the people WELL before they are suposed to get them.  I’m horrible.  I normally have to buy several rounds of Christmas presents.

Yup, totally. My family knows it and FI knows it. I also have a knack for correctly guessing what my gifts are just by feeling them. My mom and sisters get SO MAD when they’re sure they have something to surprise me with and I guess it after a poke or two at the package.

I can’t help myself. I routinely tore the house apart whenever FI was gone in the months leading up to our engagement. I’ve found most of my birthday and Christmas gifts over the past 3 years, so FI is always having to come up with new hiding spots. I have been trying to be better about not snooping because I inevitably end up disappointed when I have no surprises, but it’s soooooooo hard…I’m just so curious and impatient!

I really hadn’t done much snooping at all this year and I was so proud of myself! I only glanced under the bed once or twice (nothing there.) But the other day I was dusting the bedroom and using the Swiffer on the molding…I went to dust behind FI’s dresser and lo and behold there were a bunch of shopping bags. It took all my self control not to tear through them, but I managed to hold back! Now I just know he at least bought me something from Gap. Haha.

No! But I pretend to be. I beg SO to tell me what he got and pretend to want to take a peek, really just in the spirit of excitment. But in all reality I DO NOT want to know. Love love surprises.
