I’m so sorry to hear that. 🙁

What about a local grocery store? They let girl scouts, etc, sell cookies outside, so would they maybe be open to talking to you about it?

I would make sure to talk to the company before doing it.  There might be limitations on solicitors.  I would also look to see if there are any local farmer’s markets.  You might have to pay a bit for a booth but you would probably make that money back.

Also, have you talked to the hospital about a payment plan to help you out with the bills?

I hope your son is doing alright now!

I would definitely talk to the hospital to see if they can set up some type of payment plan.  Also, you might be able to try to negotiate the cost of the services down a bit.

I would call around to see where you could set up a bake sale.  I’m not sure if there are different rules if you bring in home-baked goods vs. girl scouts (for example) where they have pre-packaged goods.  There may be health department rules.

I’m glad your son is doing okay!

That’s awesome about the job but as another idea…

Could you have a garage sale or a community garage sale and set up your baking table there?

Hey, Jenn one thing you might do- talk to the hospital and explain your situation and see if there is any way you can reduce the bills, a lot of times they will work with people just so they can get SOME money you know? Good luck with your new job!
