I'm a big fan of the skinny jeans and boots look myself. If it's REALLY cold I will even wear leg warmers inside my boots for added warmth. I also layer my shirts and sweaters. lI HATE being cold. lol
leggings with long boots, long sweaters, scarves...you can have fun with it!
I might be moving from FL to MD so I'm subscribing... I cold cold weather fashion though, I have way too many peacoats for FL!
Are you moving to detroit or are you just going for a specific event? For a ceremony where he'll be in a dress uniform, you're going to want to be more dressed up, I would think. I would do something in the vein of Kate Middleton: dress, dark tights, tall boots, long warm coat, scarf, etc. Hope that helps!

We'll be going up there for the event, and then moving there at the beginning of summer...
Luckily you will be moving in the summer when it will still be toasty warm. Im an Alaska girl my self but grew up in the mid-west. The only think I can say about cold and fashion is learn to love layers.
I have a few sets of thin-but-warm long johns, anything that isn't cotton will work, wool is the best, if they are thin enough you can wear almost anything over them without making it look bulky but still staying warm. long thermals, sweater, puff vests, and tall lined boots with good wool socks are a must
If you are moving to some place that has you worried about wet yucky snow look in to bogs boots. they are the best i have found so far for water-proof-warmth and they come in a bunch of super fun designs.

So my handsome FI has been offered a scholarship in Detorit. We live in Alabama. Needless to say, the weather will be very different. How do you bees who live in colder climates dress to keep warm, but also to be stylish?? Also, my FI will be accepting the scholarship in his class A's, army dress uniform. What can I wear to look the appropriate level of formal, without looking stupid??
The weather for when we're going is VERY cold. Any tips you can share would be most appreciated!!!!!!
