This fall I start my final year of internship before I become a teacher. Most of the schools where I have done student teaching do not mind tattoos (as long as they are not offensive). However, my university has a strict no-tattoo rule. I usually wear pants to cover up a tattoo on my ankle but I have so many cute dresses I would love to wear. Not to mention the fact that school I am interning in this year lacks AC and gets insanely hot in the warmer months.
Has anyone used a makeup coverup to hide their tattoos? What provides the best coverage? Does it last all day? Is it time consuming to apply?
@RahlyRah: I’m going to try Dermablend on Tuesday, I’ll let you know how it is and post some pics. The Kat Von D stuff from Sephora was crap when I tried it, but apparently it’s gotten better? Not sure though.
I didn’t like the Kat Von D stuff either. I’ve heard Hard Candy’s concealer is great, Dermablend is supposed to be good and so is Cover FX. I haven’t personally tried any of them yet but I plan to try Dermablend soon.
@RahlyRah: It was $53 for both steps, but they’re large containers, so you get your money’s worth…and OMG the coverage is amazing! You couldn’t even see my black ink tattoos! The only bit of advice, make sure you take a look at it in the sunlight before setting and purchasing your shade. Mine matched perfectly in the store and was too dark when I got outside, so I need to exchange it. Overall, will not rub off or smudge (I even tried on white dresses!) and I think it’s an amazing product.

Okay, so I admittedly can’t vouch for anything because I don’t even have any tattoos, but can I just say that if I did need to cover up a tattoo I would try Dermablend if not soley because this video is THE. SHIZ.
