Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add 30. Add another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000. Now add 10. What is the total?

the answer is 4100, but our brains trick us at the end to think it's 5000!

Yeah the original was changed.  I think it's a brain teaser because you're supposed to do it in your head, and its easy to make the mistake of thinking it's 5000 instead of 4100.

when we do it in our heads, our brains make us think 5000. in that order, however if u mix up the order of addition or use a calculator it's acutally 4100!

There was a very rich family they lived in a big circular house. They had a maid a butler and a gardener. The parents were going to a party so they tucked the younger kids into bed and kissed them goodnight and said goodbye and kissed the older kids goodnight. While the parents were gone the butler was feeding the older kids the maid was dusting was dusting the corners and the gardener was watering the plants. When the parents came home all of the kids were dead. Who killed the kids?

Hmm.. maybe I'm reading into this too much, but wouldn't there actually be corners inside a round house? Where the inside walls meet the outside walls?  Anywho, I think it was the butler.  Why was he feeding the kids after they went to bed?
