Okay, fellow bees...yall have been my saving grace in several situations, so I really could use some help here. This is NWR, but I hope you understand how important this still is.

In the midst of the excitement of wedding planning, my sweet grandmother has passed away. She was very healthy, and it was very unexpected. I'm going home at the end of the week and we'll have her memorial service next Tuesday.

We decided as her immediate family that we wanted to wear lavender, my grandmothers very favorite color. I was excited about this, except everyone but me seems to have something lavender already! We've ordered ties for the men, but I can't even find a lavender dress I love online!

I found one at the Loft, but the next day when i went online to order it, its gone. I tried to go into the store, but they didnt have it anymore either.

SO, do any of you know where I could find an appropriate, yet cute lavender dress? My grandma was spunky and fun, so we arent limiting it too much...just dont want to show too much skin. Any advice would help!!

    Thanks, yall are the best!

Sorry about your grandmother. I am not sure how pastel a lavender you are looking for, but I love this dress. The model is 5'8" so I imagine it would be longer/more modest on a more average height woman. I would probably wear a black cardigan, too.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother.  What a lovely way to celebrate her life though!

And your family is in luck....Lavenders a popular color this spring! I'm seeing it everywhere! Do you have a Forever 21 store nearby? The ones over by me actually have a whole section in purples & lavenders.

Lulus has a couple of dresses in shades of light purples, dusty roses, etc but here is a true lavender dress:

and another fun looking lavender one too (but I'm not sure its true to color, it doesn't say:

Modcloth.com also has a ton of light purplish/dusties in stock

I love the artistic vibe to this one:

and this one has a sweet funky bow on it:

this one MAY be too much for a funeral, but like you said, Grandma was fun and spunky!

and heres another one from Urban Outfitters

Thanks for your help! The problem is...I'm about 5'8" so anything short IS goign to be really short on me! But, I will definitely check these out! All ideas are good, I feel quite frustrated and desperate...I want to love it, but i'm very limited by color and time right now!

Thanks yall!! I really appreciate you girls' help! I think I'm good to go now!  Not looking forward to the event, but know its necessary for closure and to move on...but I am quite happy I no longer need to stress about attire!
