I made pomegranate mimosas for a party and they were super easy and a big hit, and I think they could be Christmasy. Here's the recipe:
2 cups chilled pomegranate juice
1 cup chilled orange juice
1/2 cup orange-flavored liqueur (preferably Cointreau, although I might have used Triple Sec)
1 bottle well-chilled Cava or Champagne (I think I used Cava or Prosecco)
Combine juices and liqueur in a large pitcher. Slowly add sparkling wine and stir. (I think I left the juice mixture separate and let people mix their own.)
Enjoy!
This maybe too simple for some but in cold weather, I love Rumplemintz in hot cocoa. Yum.
@sarahnyc-- that sounds fantastic!! i think we have a winner. i can come to the 'bee for anything :) But others-- if you have more ideas keep posting bc I'm sure that lots of people have holiday parties coming up!!

I haven't had these personally, so I can't vouch for them, but I found them on a Christmas drink themed website!
Oh my, the formatting for that post came out horrendous. Sorry about that! :)
I make mint hot chocolates!
You can make them two ways:
1 - hot chocolate made with warm milk
- mix in creme de cacao
- hang a candy cane over the side of the cup (it's great presentation and the candy cane melts and makes it all minty)
2 - hot chocolate made with warm milk
- mix in creme de menthe
@Corgi: I'm sure everyone will love them! Sounds like a fun party!
I'm actually throwing an Ugly Christmas sweat party this weekend and found this online:
1 can cranberry juice frozen concentrate
1 pkg of frozen raspberries
1 liter of club soda (VERY COLD)
1 2 liter bottle of Ginger Ale (VERY COLD)
2 bottles of cheap champagne
Make ice cubes with the raspberries and juice concentrate - freeze 8 hours in advance.
Yup - i was going to suggest mimosas too. Or bellini's which are a similar concept.

I am going to a Christmas party friday and have been asked to bring a christmas-themed beverage to share. I really hate eggnog (as does the host of the party) so I'd like to do something a bit more creative. Criteria are:
1) tasty!
2) not too expensive to make (i.e. no 1/2 cup of 48 different liquors)
3) not baileys-centered (host is making homemade baileys)
4) christmasy!
thoughts/recipes??
