Okay … totally mortified. FI asked me to go get the clothes out of the dryer. Which we have community laundry at our apartments.. I assume its one per floor but it might just be on second cause I’ve seen people come downstairs to ours. Anyways…
I look and on the floor there’s a fricken UNWRAPPED condom!!!!! UGH!!!!
I only assume it came out of the dryer with my clothes because I saw something fall and that’s what made me look… HOW GROSS ARE YOU PEOPLE !!! check your pockets and stuff before you wash them.. and why was that in your pocket!!! ugh.
Don’t worry, I have no fear that its my FI. We prefer not to use them first of all but we also don’t use that kind… it had some extra features for lady.
I’m just completely disgusted. I wrote a note on a piece of paper and pinned it on the board, the not read:
This is completely disgusting and gross. I really hope you all will check your clothes a lot better so that you don’t have to be the one to find this next time. GROSS.
Okay rant over… ugh.

When we used to live in an apartment block, our neighbours put a whole grocery bag of used condoms in our recycling bin in the hall. I cannot figure out if they had been, uh, saving them for a long time or if they just had sex at incredible frequency; there were so many! I wanted to thumbtack the bag their door with a city flyer of what can and cannot be recycled.

Ewww. At least people will get some amusement out of it hanging up there with a note, haha.

I’d be more concerned that it was a couple getting on in the Laundry Room… and they thought it would be “funny” to toss the used condom into the dryer after they were done !!
Which is ONE of the many reasons that after I got married the first time and moved into an Apartment Building with my then Hubby that we bought a single unit portable washer & dryer (vs a stackable unit that has to be built-in… these can be used anywhere).
No more worries about the kind of crap you encountered, and I could do laundry day or night without all he hassles of working around other peoples schedule etc.
The one we had at the time (1980s) was one unit, quite small capacity… with a washing machine on one side, and the dryer on the other. I used the washer more than the dryer, because a lot of items I could just hang dry or flat-dry in our bathroom overnight.
Hope this helps,

I once worked as a merchandiser, and had to go from store to store & get product from their back rooms and wheel it out to be stocked. Some of these stores were absolute messes in the back. I showed up to a store one day, and saw an unwrapped condom laying on the floor, right in front of the bathroom door. Like two employees went and had a quickie in the bathroom, and then flung it to the floor. Can you even imagine the disrespect that must have went on there? I was so fed up with that store at that point, I just was very careful to step over it every time I had to pass that section. It was gross.

I found a condom once too, when I lived in an apartment. Hey, at least it went through the washer so you can assume it was clean!

You touched it! HAHAHAHA.
That is horrifying and gross and disgusting and rude and disgusting and horrible. I am sorry you had to deal with that.
