My senior week trip was to Otakon (the year with flute Link, she was amazing!) but I haven't made it to another since- Central Texas isn't the hot bed of geekiness, but the Browncoat Ball was in Austin my freshman year but I didn't have a ride (DH and I had just started dating so he wasn't as much of a fan yet)
I went as Kaylee from Firefly and BM L went as Hunny Senpei (sp?) from Oran High School Host (I don't have a good picture of that but she had a giant pink bunny that I hated so much she made me a tiny version to take to college with me)
I reaaaaaally want to go to D*con one year.
DH and I go to gencon every year :). I was actually convinced it was where he was going to propose, but he didn't. We haven't been able to make it to any others, but I really enjoy going! I love the Kaylee outfit!
@jo.lee: Can I tell you just how adorable the bear patch is in person? I was so mad when the costume went missing my freshman year of college
Been going to AnimeNext most years for the past several years. And went to Otakon once. I've got cosplay of Mistress Nine from Sailor Moon and Dr. Girlfriend from Venture brothers. Mr.Lite has been The Monarch from Venture brothers and has worn a Valut Suit from Fallout. I've also made Rakka from Haibane Renmei for my sister and Sora from Kingdom Hearts for my brother.
I love me some good cosplay!
