I was talking with a few friends who all wear contacts the other day and realized they while they all also have glasses, I’ve never seen any of them wear their glasses. So now I’m wondering…how many people wear contact lenses? Do more people wear those than glasses?
Just for fun…how about a poll?

I mostly wear my glasses, not because I prefer the look, but because I’m too lazy to do contacts every day.

I have had glasses since I was 10, contacts since I was 16. I am short sighted so I have to wear them all the time, I wear contacts most of the time except on days where my eyes are sore or tired then I wear my glasses, I take my contacts out before I go to bed so when I am reading in bed before I go to sleep I am wearing my glasses. I much prefer to wear contacts

I wear glasses to work and contacts on the weekend. My contacts are super expensive because I’m allergic to silicone and have to buy a special brand. I prefer how I look in contacts, so I like to wear those on the weekend when I’m doing my own thing. When I just sit in my office all day at work, I’ll wear glasses. I have 3 different pairs of glasses (brown, black, and purple) so I mix them up so I don’t get bored with them.

I wear my glasses every day at work and on the weekends. I only wear my contacts for special occasions or when I know pictures are going to be taken. I have chronic dry eye so wearing the contacts for any length of time is excruciating and I try to limit my wear time to only a few hours.

I wear my glasses when I’m at home, but when I’m out I almost always have contacts in. Once a week or so I wear glasses to give my eyes a break though!

I voted “I tried contacts, but they are not for me and I stick with glasses.” I have a TERRIBLE time trying to put contacts in – it takes me like 45 minutes per eye sometimes. My eyes are just really sensitive. I actually had such a hard time on my wedding day that I ripped one, so I ended up just wearing my glasses:

Contacts only. I hate how gross glasses get, plus I wear RGP’s, so I get “spectacle blur”.

Glasses since I was about 6 or 7, contacts since I was 13. I definitely prefer my contacts. My vision is terrrrible, so I can’t even put on makeup if I take my glasses off. My glasses are a prescription behind so I don’t even wear them at night if I’m driving anywhere.

Neither, but I need glasses badly!!!

Contacts as much as humanely possible.
I have such bad eyesight that I have no peripheral vision with glasses and its very unnerving to do much besides sit in bed with them.

I wear contacts most of the time but honestly I hate them. I have dry eyes and so they tend to rip really easily when I take them out, and often times I can feel them when I blink. I usually take them out right when I get home, so I’ll bust out my glases for driving or whatever if I need to. My vision isn’t bad enough to really need them otherwise.

I basically wear my contacts whenever I leave the house. My eyes are so bad that I have better vision with my contacts than my glasses (it’s something to do with proximity to the eye).

I wear contacts, and will only wear my glasses in case of an eye infection, or I’m suddenly out of contacts and need to see in order to pick up some more.
