Today I’ve said f*ck it to the card box I’m making for FSIL. She feels like it’s a waste to spend $40 on a premade card box and has commissioned me to make it.

I am not a crafty person at all so after being covered in pink and silver paint I have just said screw it all. Now I’m sitting in bed with Pringles and Star Trek.

KatiePi:  Today I said f*ck it to this wonderful lady who abandoned four dogs last week and then showed up to get a new pet. Luckily I am not required to give this person an animal. Those poor dogs came in terrible condition and only one of them has found a new home.

I am still at work but when I get home I am going to cuddle my pup!

KatiePi:  Oh good lord, I hope I just figured out that you’re a teacher…cause I seriously just thought that a highschool freshman sat down with a glass of wine. LMAO. My Friday has been great because I work all my 40 hours Monday-Thursday. But having worked Wed. and yesterday with no working bathrooms (well, we did, but not the usual bathrooms, had to take a hike every time I had to pee and so did all the customers) and dealing with my co-worker who doesn’t do her own damn job and leaves her mess for me to clean up every single Tues., Wed. and Thurs. I had F*** it Thursday where I no longer gave a shit about anything.

KatiePi:  mine was quite similar, but with a couple of 10th graders during 6th period. They’re failing, they don’t do work or turn it in, and I’m tired of reminding them to get out their packets. Nothing they can do will get them to pass the semester, they’ve dug themselves so far own in points.

KatiePi:  Sophomores can be terrible (they can also be AMAZING KIDS; I have most of them before lunch) – freshmen are at least scared of high school. Sophomores know how HS works, but are still underclassmen, so they can be the worst of the worst. Sounds like your 9th graders (being at the end of the year) are at that stage. They know their place at school, and are angry about it. Good luck making it to the end of the year!

KatiePi:  I’ve said f*ck it to reminding my college freshmen that this was the last day that they could turn in any missing crap to avoid having zeros, to turn in their lab drawer keys to avoid a $35 fine, and that they do have an exam and no, I’m not moving it so you can go to a party.

I have a student who came up to me the very first day of class to tell me that she failed the first semester of this class, and she’ll be working hard this semester. Okay, cool. She has showed up to maybe 25% of this class, and insisted that she has medical issues but refuses to give us a doctors note that prevents her from actually attending or turning anything in. She has fought me on literally every assignment, quiz, exam.

I love teaching, and I’m really happy in my position, but hot damn do some students just seem to have a dying wish of making your life difficult. So glad today was the last day of classes before finals week!

HAHA I think I naturally just say F*** it to the point where I can’t tell you one exact instance. I used to work with high schools and now with college students – too many students aren’t proactive enough and are going to struggle to get in the real world! It’s out of your control now so they’ll see 😛

misstxlonghorn:  KatiePi:  I have a couple students now who for some reason just now realized that missing half the course work means they fail, which means that I’m getting constant emails/freakouts in my office telling me need to do something. It is a difficult year for them I suppose – it may be the first time that someone hasn’t held their hand through an entire class or just passed them regardless of grades. *sigh* I don’t like failing students, but sometimes there’s just no other option.
