Hey laides, I was writing a blog post for my personal blog and I’m wondering what some of your favorite quotes are? I find inspiration (or humor!) in quotes a lot and just wondered if any of you would mind sharing your favorites??
I’m being silly and directly copying and pasting from facebook.
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart”
“If one dream should fall and break into a thousand pieces, never be afraid to pick one of those pieces up and begin again.”
“We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.”
“The average pencil is seven inches long, with just a half-inch eraser – in case you thought optimism was dead.”
Also…cheesy as it may be, I really like this page http://www.values.com It’s the website for The Foundation for a Better Life. It has lots of nice, heart-warming stuff on it. 🙂

@melisslp: Oh I absolutely live by that quote by Mother Theresa! My husband used to just roll through the toll booth without saying thank you or smiling and I told him to just watch when I smiled and said thank you one time, he said “Wow–they really smiled back, you could tell they noticed!” Guess who smiles now? 🙂

Sir Walter Scott talking about a failed relationship: “We build statues of snow and weep when they melt.”
It’s not uplifting at all, but it is a nice reminder for me to not get too excited about stuff before it happens.

“Heaven for climate. Hell for company.” – Mark Twain
“Though she be but little, she is fierce.” – Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (as someone who’s barely 5’1″, I always appreciated that one. 😉
“There are three important things in life. The first is kindness. The second is kindness. The third is kindness.” – attributed to Henry James or William James – I can’t find a definitive citation.
“If the world is night, shine my life like a light.” Indigo Girls

Be kind. Rewind. HA! 😉 Juuuust kidding.
Thank you ladies for all of the quotes! I love them all!!!
