I always make lists for everything.......
but then I forget where I put the lists!
I forgot my shoes the day of the wedding haha and didn't realize until about an hour and a half before the ceremony!
@missfireslayer: Were you able to get them (or have someone get them for you) before the ceremony?!!
@AudzinLuv: Lol, I make grocery lists, lose them, and then have to re-make them. Then I usually find my list after I get my jeans out of the dryer
@beekiss2: My brother (who gave me away) drove an HOUR to my house to go get them! I would have been fine wearing the flip flops I wore in but my mom INSISTED we get them ha. Talk about coming down to the wire!!
Yes. Always. Especially if I go into work with something that I'm not leaving with (like if I take in cookies or something). I feel really 'off' in the afternoon, like "Man, what am I forgetting???" lol
I keep a notebook on me at all times for cases like this! Haha. I need a planner just because I know I'll forget otherwise to get my stuff together for a meeting on Tuesday or something like that. I'm super prone to forgetting things like that.
@youhavemyheart: I've done that before. Baked something for a group and then forgot about it. :/
@littlemissmoo: I had a good friend who carried a very small notebook with him at all times, it's a good idea. I don't carry a purse that often though and if I do, it becomes very heavy relatively quickly. I usually stuff my lists in my pockets, but then I forget what pants I was wearing when I put the list in my pockets...lol. I'm more scatter-brained that I thought!
@beekiss2: my mom tells me if my head wasn't attached I would forget that too haha!
@missfireslayer: lol My fiance knows I'm forgetful, but for some reason, I remember things he can't and vice versa; I guess we're a perfect pair :)
@beekiss2: sounds like it :) I like to freak DH out and tell him I must have pregnancy brain...he doesn't think it is as funny as I do!
@missfireslayer: lol, my fiance and I joke about that how funny it would be to tell our families that I am pregnant (we're waiting to have sex so it's impossible). It doesn't help that I don't really drink and always pass when they offer wine at family meals. I don't think his family would find it funny, though.
For this entire week, I've been fretting over the fact I have something going on tonight. I have no idea what it is. I made plans for tonight, 2 things actually. I have no idea what it was, but I forgot about it.
I forgot to zip my pants today before coming to work. That's at least the second time in a month. Hope this at least brings a smile to your face!
@thisismeAXiD: I've done that
@In the media: Lol, I have jeans that have zippers that come down, I try to avoid wearing them (I have to on laundry day) :)
This is why I like Post Its. I tend to think of things right before I'm going to go to bed and I know I won't remember in the morning, so I make Post Its notes for myself (or FH) and put 'em on my cell phone or my mirror-- where ever I will notice them.
@JenniMichele: I did that my freshman year of college, I had them all over the place. I think it annoyed my roommate. I'll sometimes leave "love note" post-its for my Fiance. It's fun! I should probably revert back to that, I think I felt more organized then.
@JenniMichele: I leave post it notes on my steering wheel if I need to leave the carseat for DH. I ALWAYS forget and pull into the parking garage and look into my back seat and go EFFF I am in soooo much trouble. We should stop being cheap and just buy another seat
beekiss2 - I think we're prettymuch the same person, in different states :P. Anyways, yes I always forget things & remember them when its irrelevant. I always remember everything for my DH & for my close friends. I'm always reminding them "hey you left your notebook over there" or "did you make that appt". When it comes to me, I lose my car key & DH tells me its in my pocket (yup, he's right).
Like my kittens meds, I can tell anyone & everyone the name of the meds if they don't need to know it. But, I get to my vet today & I'm like "umm I have no idea what they're on, I think it starts with a D? I usually know this". Its Griseofulvin (at least I'm only a few letters off, right?).
@serabell: We are similar!!! When I'm on the spot, I forget precisely what I knew before I was the on spot.

GAH! I hate that feeling like you have something you need to do and it's in the back of your mind, and YOU CAN'T REMEMBER. Seriously, I hate it. I'm going through the categories of my life (you know--work, school, social life, cats, etc) and I'm not coming up with anything.
People always say "well it must not be important." Well if it's not important, I wouldn't have a remnant of a memory of it. I think I need to make lists.
Does anyone else get this often (like I do)?
