Hi! I just registered for a training course in Westminster, which is very near Denver right? I have never been anywhere near the Rockies, so I am very excited!! Any tips for places to go or shop???

    Hi Ottawa Bride!

You'll love Flatirons Mall!  It's on US 36... west of Westminster.  Also, go to Boulder! It's a great college town with lots of great food!  Have fun!

I definately agree with Flatiron Mall. Its a a great shopping area with a lot of restaurants.    I believe there is a mall in westminster that Ive been too once but dont think I would recommend you go there.

Also, go to Boulder. If you are staying in Westminster its only 20 minutes away, if that!  Go walk around Pearl Street Mall.

    Hope it's not too late

In Boulder, you can check out the Coors Brewery tour and also the Celestial Seasonings Tea factory.

Yey Boulder! Pearl street is awesome, and full of lots of indie shops and places to eat. There is also great people watching there. Just don't forget to bring cash, there are a few places that are so indie that they're cash only. For free you can also visit the NCAR museum and take the short nature walk outside for some geeky fun.

Coors is in Golden, but you can check out some of the local breweries in Boulder (Boulder Brewery, Avery) or brew pubs (Mountain/Southern Sun and Walnut Brewery). CO is huge on microbrews, but beware of drinking too much at high altitude because you'll get drunk so much more easily. Drink lots of water and wear sunscreen. If you're feeling lightheaded, take 2 advil and drink a glass of cola or some other caffinated and sugary drink. The trifecta of sugar/caffein/ibuprofin will help combat altitude sickness.
