I have been looking into birth control methods and came across a procedure called Essure. It is a non surgical procedure and I’m very curious to hear if anyone has had it done. I found a bunch of information but not too many first hand accounts. Or can anyone recommend another form of permanent birth control. My husband and I know we do not want biological children and are tired of having to worry. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

My OBGYN recommend Essure a year ago to me. I did a bunch of research and was turned off by the side effects a lot of people claimed to have (cramping, period issues, etc.). In thinking about it further, I didn’t want to have any foreign object implanted in my body (a foreign object that could potentially come loose).
I’m considering tubal ligation – which seems the least risk for side effects to me.
ETA: I talked to my OBGYN a couple weeks about my Essure concerns. She though I was nuts to do the tubal ligation (since the recovery time is longer than the in-office Essure proceedure). But, it didn’t change my mind about my perceived risks about Essure.
