I'm planning on wearing trousers, a nice blouse and closed-toe heels. What I'm not set on is the 'finishing piece'. The interview process will be indoors and last all day. It'll be in a clinical setting and I'll be meeting with physicians and school faculty, so I would rather err on the side of 'dressier'. Do I wear a blazer, even though the temperature will be in the 90s? Is a nice cardigan OK? I think the blazer would look more professional, but I don't want to look out-of-season if everyone is wearing more 'summery' looks.

    I really appreciate your help!

@Owlet: Wear a great blouse and blazer. it's easy to take that blazer off it you're over dressed, then feel awkward being under-dressed.

I would definitely wear a suit jacket/blazer.  At least at the school I attended, the physicians and faculty would often wear suits on a daily basis.  I would rather be over dressed than under dressed on an interview.

I would wear a suit if you have one (is suit jacket what you're meaning by blazer?).  A cardigan is too casual for an interview, IMO.

Suit jacket/blazer it is! I use the terms interchangeably even though they really aren't. I'll probably not wear a suit jacket that matches the bottoms identically. I prefer to wear equally dressy but non-matching top/bottoms. I'll probably go with black trousers and a jacket with a tiny black-and-white pattern in the same fabric.

Thank you so much for your help! I knew I could count on the hive!

Blazer for sure.  I don't know if you have one, but I have a linen blazer that I got for not much and it's super lightweight.

@Owlet: I would suggest wearing a matching suit. Non-matching separates are cute for work but for an interview you want to look completely put together and polished. If you have a full suit I'd suggest wearing it.
