So walking back to my car from spin class today… I notice a dent on the back of my car. I hadn’t seen it before but I’m assuming the culprit is the large branch that was sitting next to my car at my house that fell during the tropical storm. I’m cheap and have other than collision insurance on my car but I have to pay a 1k deductible… So here’s my question to bee’s who have experience with this… How much would it cost to remove the dent seen below 🙁 Also does it hurt if I wait a few months before I get it fixed??? Or should I get it taken care of immediately.. Here’s my poorly taken cell phone picture
The only real reason I’m concerned is the dent is making the tail light pop out a little

No idea, but you can go to a dealer or auto body shop and get a quote for free without filing a claim – in fact I would recommend getting at least two quotes. You can also call your insurance company and ask who they recommend without giving them your name or filing a claim. In my experience quotes have varied by 60% (i.e. one place was 60% higher) even though the breakdown of what was needed to fix the issue was identical.

Take the panel off and push it out yourself. Its free, and coming from someone who had an awful lot of dents to hide from mom, half the time no one will ever notice…or atleast my mom won’t…lol!

I agree with the PP who said to take the inside panel off and try to push it out yourself. Sometimes it will just pop right back out.
