Hi Bee’s, totally random, but how old were you when you got your first period?
Apparently the average age is 13. The oldest I’ve heard of is 17 and the youngest is 8.
I got my first one when I was 10, and I didn’t get another one until I was 11 and then it became regular

@MissMfutureMrsB: I was 15. Had been wanting it to happen for a couple of years as it was like a mark of becoming mature. I then realised what a pain in the bum they can be

I got mine the autumn after my 12th birthday. I’ve always been really regular, and I’m grateful that my Implanon makes them lighter. 🙂

I was in grade 5- so about 10 years old. My periods were so heavy- it was awful. Brutal cramps etc. I used massive pads- didn’t start tampons until I was 16!

I was 11, it was about a month before I turned 12. I was in 6th grade.

16 or 17. I’ve always had problems though. They’ve NEVER been regular.

I also had it at 11, during a family vacation… my mom was running around telling everybody and my aunt brought me a box of pads. UGH!!

I believe I was 13… OMG Trauma!!!
I had just left for a weekend trip to my grandma’s house by the beach with my Dad!! I hid it from him the entire weekend 🙁

I was about 11. I kinda expected as much, my mom and sister got theirs around 12 so I figured it was coming. Plus I was already going through other aspects of puberty so it was just like “ok, so now this is happening.” Not a big deal to me at all, but it also started the first time when I was at home (and I knew where my mom and sister kept their tampons so I was good to go) and I can see how it starting at school or something would have been much more uncomfortable.
