Omg, i LOVE LOVE Lafayette! Best character in the entire series!
My weekend was pretty awesome, I bought a new (to me) car for the first time in my whole life and my FIL fixed my old car to sell it - very productive :)
Mine was fantastic! DH and I went back to Atlanta to go to Georgia Tech's homecoming (our alma mater). We got to see the Jackets beat the previously undefeated and 5th ranked Clemson Tigers in an AWESOME football game and we got to hang out with a ton of friends that we don't get to see very regularly since we've moved to Dallas.
Your week-end sounds very relaxing and full of things done! Congrats on getting cable, now you will def be hooked on the SYTTD episodes lol
My week-end was pretty full of events.
Friday night, I actually worked on wedding stuff. FI falls asleep early on Friday nights and that's when I go to our other room, put on TLC and do my DIY stuff. I started working on my second FG's tutu.
Saturday, cleaned like a mad woman, then went to my gf's house for her to do my make up for the party. FI stayed home and he did his make up all by himself. We went to a wicked halloween party that my friend does every year. It's his thing. Here we are.

Then Sunday, I baked all day long (seriously the entire house smelled sooo freaking yummy hehehe.) and decorated cupcakes to take to work today and this morning I left the house and the cupcakes stayed on my kitchen counter!!!! arghh..
oooh, I love your costumes! My weekend was fantastic, my brother and his wife had a couples baby shower out of state, so I got to roadtrip out there with my wonderful man and back. In total we spent over 9 hours in the car, and it was wonderful!
@MrsWrangler: Oh my goodness! Your first car is HUGE! Congrats! What type of car is it? Color? And yeah, Lafayette's my favorite too - my friend's costume was pretty much perfect - the only thing he was missing was the apron. I wish I had a better shot of the eye makeup and his headwrap (I was dark purple and blue with scattered sequins lol)
@Mrs.KMM: College football is so much fun! I'm glad your team won, and seeing old friends is wonderful :)
@couawilou: Oh I'm already hooked hehe. And great costumes - you two are adorable :) Baking is one of the best ways to spend a Sunday, too, I think - it reminds me of my Grama. And I totally wish I was your coworker so I could have a cupcake lol
@sarahbabs: you wouldn't have a cupcake today though since I left them at home :-(, but you can def come over to the house after work lol and eat them haha
My weekend stunk. DH and I are trying to save money, so we decided not to go to the bar where most of our friends were celebrating halloween and instead we stayed in all weekend watching movies. We watched Scream 4, The Shining, Dodgeball, Eclipse, American Pie 2, Teen Witch, 1408, and Anchorman. How lame can you get?
@daisy40: Awww, yay! A baby shower and a mini roadtrip with your love sounds fantastic! My fiance and I love roadtrips too, and not being able to take one spur of the moment is one of the things I hate the most about not having a car now. The midwest is probably gorgeous with fall leavs right now, too! (I'm from Michigan originally, and I miss seeing the fall colors). I'm glad you got ot enjoy it :)
@sarahbabs: Thanks, I am so excited! It's a 2005 bright red Jeep Wrangler... 6-speed stick shift, 4WD, the works. I am in LOVE.
And your friends looks just like him - what a great idea. I wanted to go as Bill and Sookie but ended up being too lazy and did Heidi and Al from Tool Time instead... best $1.47 we ever spent on costumes :)

@MrsMcGyro: Awww, it doesn't sound that bad! If that makes you lame, I'm pretty lame too - we actually skipped the bar and watched The Shining on TV as well :) And being smart with your money is definitely going to be worth it in the end!
@MrsMcGyro: Funny, my DH loves movies so much that'd probably be his idea of an awesome weekend :) Dodgeball especially is hilarious!
@MrsWrangler: Oh my goodness, Heidi and Al??? I love it! And your new Jeep is very cool :)
@sarahbabs: Yeah I was a little worried no one would get it but apparently more people love corny 90s TV than I thought! I wish I had a pic but no one has posted them to my FB yet :(
@sarahbabs Thanks, it was fantastic! Actually, most of the leaves have fallen here in Minnesota, so our driving was mostly dead trees and freshly combined corn fields!

Hey all you lovely bees! How were your weekends?
Mine was actually pretty wonderful. I went out with my BFFs Friday for Halloween. We were Cleopatra, Lafayette from True Blood, and Catwoman, respectively :)
Then, on Saturday morning, it snowed so much it looked like a blizzard at times, and fortunately neither my fiance nor I had to leave the house for anything that day. So we watched the first snow of the year, and the guy from Time Warner showed up on time (!!!) to install our internet and cable. I've never had cable in my life, so it was really exciting for me :)
I was even more thrilled when I was flipping through the channels Sudnay morning and saw Say Yes to the Dress! I've never had a chance to see it before, so I instantly DVRed the series, and my fiance even watched the first two episodes with me :D
Then we went shopping for groceries for our new apartment, but stopped in Marshalls to check out the homegoods. I'm so glad we did, because I found Le Crueset tea kettle in Cobalt (my very favorite color) for $39! After groceries, we came home and sorted laundry together, then had tea before we went to bed. This was one of the first weekends I haven't had to work in awhile, and it was one of the most relaxing and happy ones I've had, ever! It is amazing how wonderful a cup of tea can be :)
Thanks for letting me share bees! And tell me all about your weekends too!
