Corn hole or yard golf are always fun.

Ultimate frisbee, bocci, ladder toss, if you have the place basketball and volleyball are always great. Capture the Flag and freeze tag are fun.  More involved games like murder in the dark, mafia, and one I have heard (super not pc) called both “Gestapo” or “Taliban” which is like flashlight tag where there is a base where everode starts and  one or two people hiding together who have a password.  Then (usually) the adult leaders are the “bad guys” with flashlights and all the kids go oUT from base and try to make it to the hiding person and back to base without being caught by a “bad guy”. The bad guys can send people back to base or make them do somerhing, usualy embarrings, making them sing a goofy song or whatever to get to go on. First back to base wins and gets to be the hider next time. You can also play with a prison and other people can come in a tag people out in a “prison break” but they have to not get caught by the jailers.  Suuuuppppeeeerr fun camp/youth game.

You can also do goofy rely races like hula hoop pass or spong races (soak up water in one bucket with the spong,  have to run down to another bucket with the song between your knees and squeeze oUT into another to fill to a line in a rely).

Even if it seems stupid, it is amazing how fun stupid stuff is in a large group of pre/teenagers.

Can you tell I spent way too much time both in and leading youth rec??

Ap2010:  I googled “fun outdoor youth group games” and lots of sites came up. I suggest you look at some of them.
