I suffer from dry thick hair and I love Paul Mitchell Awapuhi shampoo. I don’t bother with conditioner, only a deep conditioner once a month or so.

I live by the Aveda Dry Remedy, its done wonders for my hair.  I blow dry and flat iron 4-5 times per week.

@CatyLady: This is exactly what I was going to say! I’d also add a deep conditioner every couple of weeks 😀

Your budget is probably higher than mine, but as a budget shopper, my old stylist recommended Tresemme and I’ve been really, really happy with it since then. I just switched from ‘gentle cleansing’ (what I use in the summer when my hair is more oily) to ‘deep moisturising’ (which I use in the winter when my hair is drier). They have a natural line too, which is a little more expensive.

To be honest, my hair sounds very similiar to yours. I use Loreal Vive pro, the pink kind for dry hair.

I love it! I can blow dry and straighten it every morning and my hair stays soft and shiny. My hair dresser actually didn’t believe that I style mine all the time.

I use Herbal Essence. lol. I switch it up from the moisurizing to the volume one depending on the season.

I am in love with WEN by Chaz Dean.  It’s a bit expensive and very different than traditional shampoo/conditioner, but once you get the hang of it, it’s great!  I blow dry my hair daily and it’s super soft and manageable now.  With WEN, you don’t need a separate conditioner as it is a cleansing conditioner already.
