I like it soft enough to scoop out - I can't even start scooping, if it's too hard!
@Amaryllis: I can't eat ice cream anymore without getting sick, so I stick to coconut milk "frozen dessert" or fro-yo. I like it a little melty, just enough to run the spoon smoothly across the container.
I do not like mushy icecream. It really irratates me when it has started to melt. And I also like soft serve; vanilla.

We have the ice cream truck in Ontario (FI grew up in QC and they dont). Hands down, BEST. ICE. CREAM. EVER!
I love soft serve!!! But not the one from mcdonalds. It sucks. But costco has great soft serve too!!!
Other - I like it any way. I love it when its hard, when it has just started to melt and when it is down to what I like to call "mish mash"...I also love soft serve and froyo. Ok going to the freezer for mint choc chip now!
It depends on my mood! Never so mushy that it's like liquid though. And I have to be able to scoop it without breaking the spoon. There are lines. I also like soft serve a lot.
It has to be soft enough to scoop out of the container. I voted "mushy" but I really wouldn't call it mushy. But it certainly isn't rock hard.
I'm with PitBullLover... If it's ice cream in the flavor I like... I'm eatin' it! lol
i like it mushy now but when i was younger i would mix it until it turned into "soup" not sure if it was really because i liked it that way or just because it was fun
the colder, the better to me. But i also love softserve, just not inbetween!
@mattsgirl813: Haha I used to do the soup thing too! I would keep stirring it vigorously with my spoon.. I really dont know why
Ice cream is gross ... sorry :(
I crave it like once a year. Chocolate ice cream with nerds candy on top. Otherwise it's just nasty. I'm so alone in feeling this way, I know.
Ice cream is gross. Especially gross when soft.
Occasionally I eat sorbet or the soy stuff, and I like that hard. Once it gets liquidy I have to throw it out because it becomes gross, too.
If I am alone or just with DH then I like to make "soup" with my ice cream! I eat bits of the edges of the ice cream and then turn it into "soup". I usually just have chocolate with nuts when I do this. If I'm having ice cream out in public and it would be embarassing to eat it like a two year old then I just eat it normally.
I like it mushy if it is good quality ice cream. Sometimes the cheaper stuff is whipped and it is a little nastier if it gets melty.
I will eat ice cream any day, any way, anywhere. I would drink it, lick it, suck it, or scoop it. That's right, I am in love with ice cream. I would take it any way!

Our household is firmly divided along two party lines -- those of us who like our ice cream kind of partly melted and mushy, and those who prefer it scooped out rock hard. Some of us maybe even throw it in the microwave if the opportunity arises.
