    Hi Bees,

I'm headed to New Orleans for a business trip in Feb. and thinking about getting in a few days early to celebrate Mardi Gras. I've never been before but know there are several NOLA bees in the hive and would love advice. I'd also love company if there are any other bees planning a trip or local to the area.

I would get in decently late Monday night (10pm ish) but have all day Tuesday. Is it worth it or will I miss the majority of the festivities? My colleague was supposed to come with me but he booked a flight which has him arriving Tuesday evening so I'll be alone most of Tusday, will I still have fun? Is it safe? I really want to go, I just feel like I have no idea what to expect, even after a bit of internet research so any insight would be helpful. Is it worth the 3 vacation days and $250 I estimate spending to get in 3 days early?

We'll also need to eat lunch and dinner so any restaurant recomendations in the city are welcome.

    Thanks!

Well I recently went there and from what I hear Mardi Gras is crazy!  But in a good way.  They expect 1 million people in these narrow streets so it could be overwhelming but its an experience I wouldn't miss out on just because I didn't have someone to go with.  I'd say just keep your cash hidden and alcohol to a mininum and you're good!
