Local daycares.  I am not from this area but that is always a good place to start.  They have experience and are good with kids.  Stop by and ask if any of the workers are willing to work after hours to do private baby sitting.

Have they looked into a student from Kennesaw State, Georgia State or Tech? When I was in college it was common place to see ads for nannys, sitters and the like-and you can usually find a pretty responsible person at the local colleges!  They should also check with their neighbors-I sit for my cousin, which has led to me watching half the neighborhood children!  Referrals are a wonderful thing, and I’m sure the neighbors would be happy to suggest someone!

If your brother attends a church, he might want to consider asking their main office.  Often churches have childcare of their own and could recommend someone.  Most churches perform background checks on their employees which is helpful when you are new to an area and don’t know anyone.
