So, I’ve decided to get a Nook. I’ve done a lot of research and I know this is the eReader/tablet for me… But I can’t decide between the Nook HD and the HD+… As far as I can tell, the only real difference seems to be size. Does anyone have one or the other and can tell me about your experiences with it? Especially if the one you’ve used is too big/too small for your purposes?
According to the Barnes & Noble website, the 16gb (which is what I want) for both cost the same… So that’s not an issue. I’m mainly just concerned with the size. I would be using it for watching movies and browsing the internet as well… I need something between my laptop and phone.

I have the HD+… using it right now… and I LOVE the size! It makes watching Netflix and web surfing so much better.
I even gave my 7 inch Kindle Fire to my sister. I just never use it anymore.

I would get the bigger one. I have the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 and I couldn’t imagine watching video on a smaller screen than that.

I have the Nook Color don’t know the difference between the two you are looking at but honestly I would probably invest in the Kindle, from everything I have read sounds like Barnes and Noble could be gone within a year here. So the Nook could become worthless

I have the nook simple touch glowlight, it doesnt have tablet capabilities but is a great size, touchscreen and has awesome back lighting. Sounds like you want a tablet but if not- look at this!

Thanks everyone for your help! I ended up going with the HD, the + was just a little too bully for me.
also, while I appreciate everyones input regarding the Kindle, I did a lot of research before deciding to go with the nook. I’m confident I made the right choice.

The only differance is the size. I have the HD…. because I like it to fit easily in my bags. It was a nice little e-reader for the time I used it. I use my ipad mini to read books on now.
One advantage of the NOOK vs. Kindle… if something goes wrong with the nook… you can go into Barnes and Noble and they can assist you. If something goes wrong with the Kindle… you are stuck calling Amazon customer support.
I never had any problems with my nook HD. In fact I liked it so much I bought one for my sister as well.
As far as size, I love the portability of the smaller one. I thought it was just the right size to comfortably read on. I never added movies on my nook… but I do have the ipad mini which is approx the same size and I comfotably watch hulu on it all of the time.
Best of Luck!
