Hey bees, nothing at all to do with weddings but I’m looking for a big audience with opinions 🙂
Darling Husband and I are throwing a Halloween party. The majority of our friends live a few hours away from us, so it has to be a Saturday. I can’t see our guests driving 2 hours after work on a Friday, then driving another 2 hours home in the middle of the night. I’d rather do a Saturday late afternoon and into the evening party.
Here’s my question. We are going for a fun, but laid back, chill vibe to catch up with our friends. They are REALLY into Halloween. Most of our wedding guests left early last year to get to halloween parties later that night. Darling Husband wants to have the party on November 1st, the Saturday after Halloween. I think that most parties and “bar events” will be that whole weekend and we won’t get many guests if they are committed to those plans. Darling Husband thinks that all parties will be on Friday, the 31st, and no one will have any plans for the next night. A party the week before won’t work because it falls on our first anniversary.
When would you throw it? Despite Halloween being on Friday, do you think people will have lts of other plans for the next night? Do YOU have plans for that whole weekend already?! Help!!
