lexmek27:  I went through a period of ridiculous cycles when I decided to go off the pill for a while.  It leveled out, so watch for that and see a doctor if it doesn’t.  But, I think it took3 or 4 months before everything was normal again.  I also went 10 weeks inbetween cycles at one point (best 10 weeks ever, but still) so that was a little scary and nerve racking.  But it eventually worked its self out – just takes time to get all the hormones out of your system.

Eek, I am in a similar boat- been on the pill for 10 years and want to go off it, but I am married and would not be worried/upset if I got pregnant, but we aren’t quite ready to try yet. I don’t even get a period on the pill, so I am afraid I’m going to get like a 4 month-long one when I do go off it! I hope it settles down soon!

My periods when off of birth control are just awful – heavy, painful, pure hell.  They were like that in HS too.

I just thought that’s how periods are normally (aka hellish), and they typically get worse as you age (at least in my family).

BCP just make them easier to deal with because they are lighter and shorter.

If I could push a button and have the whole contraption removed in a second (painfree) I would.  Periods are completely pointless and annoying to me.  F*ck mother nature.
