Is it market practice for a photographer to require a minimum purchase for photo sessions (i.e. family, children, newborn — NOT wedding related)?
I found a photographer I love, and we’ve discussed a reasonable package for five session fees over the course of my baby’s first year (just under $1,000, including an album), but she wants a $250 minimum purchase PER session. That minimum pushes the total cost way out of my expected range.
Is it completely out of line for me to see if she’ll waive or reduce the minimum?
