I’m so curious, do you use the return address labels that come in the mail even if you don’t make a donation to xyz charity?
I haven’t fully formed an opinion. The idea of using them though makes me feel guilty.
If you feel comfortable sharing, please explain why or why not.

@icetea: I use them without a twinge of guilt. It’s a fund raising tactic where they know that only a certain % of recipients are going to send a donation, and they are quite happy with that.
I always keep some in my purse for entering contests- saves so much time. Particularly handy at something like a home show or bridal fair. I have won 3 luxurious hotel weekend getaways using those labels.

I have before, but I have my own super pretty ones that I ordered right after we got married that I love. If I’m out of those, though, I’d probably use one.
That said, I don’t feel guilty because I’m part of an organization that donates a ridiculous amount of money to various charities each year and I have a leadership role in it/stake in it. I feel like I “do my part” enough that I can use a sticker every once in a while. 😉

I usually feel so quilty thst I at least write a check for 10$. It’s always St Jude children’s hospital that sends them so I just can’t throw away the envelope.

I haven’t made any donations yet as a married woman and the ones they keep sending me have the wrong last name on them so no, I don’t use them. That’s only the minor reason though. The charity I used to donate to regularly suddenly doubled their minimum donation requirement and started sending out lavish things like calendars and notebooks along with the address labels. I don’t like that. I want 100% of my donation to go to those who need it, not paper goods that are going to sit in my desk drawer.

@icetea: I usually send in like $5 in the return envelope.

I am a somewhat recent college grad who is still working on establishing a career adn a household, so yes I do use them because it would not be worth buying a bunch at my current address because I’m going to move again in the near future.

I’ve never gotten these. But if I did, I would use them. They’re already printed!

I’ve never gotten any from places I didn’t donate to.
