I used to read All. The. Time. But now, with a full-time job and two blogs, I never have time anymore.

So when I took a quick 5-day trip to San Diego last week, I had time to read four books! It was awesome.

    I read:

All four were really good but The Shadow of the Wind was AMAZING. One of the best books I've ever read. Water for Elephants was my second favorite of the four.

Anyway, what are you reading or what have you read recently? Please share!

Good for you! I bet it was amaaazing to read 4 books!

I'm currently re-reading Diary by Chuck Palahniuk. I remember telling everyone "it's my favorite" years ago, but now that I'm in the middle of it, I've forgotten so much.

It's great to re-read after some time has passed!!

I read Diary a few years ago but I don't remember much about it. I'm a big Palahniuk fan, though. I think that Fight Club and Invisible Monsters are my two favorites.

Wonderful! I wish I had time to read :(

I love your icon, that wouldn't by chance happen to be by Nan Lawson? It looks so much like her work, it's adorable :)

Here's to getting time to read books! I just finished a YA series called Percy Jackson and I'm starting to read a book entitled the Mysterious Benedict Society.

I love reading, but feel like I don't get to do enough of it.  I have started listening to books on tape while I am in the car.  It makes running errands much more fun.  I just finished listening to "The Year of the Flood" by Margaret Atwood.  I am currently listening to "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver.  As for actual reading, I am reading "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett.  I love it so far.  And, I loved "The Year of the Flood."  If you want to read that one, I would recommend reading "Oryx and Crake" first.  Happy Reading!

Pleasantly surprised to see people suggest Chuck P. Also a big fan of his works.

I was an English major so tend to be a little snobby about my reading. Here are things I have liked recently.

    American Psycho-great movie and book

    Confederacy of Dunces

Anything by Italo Calvino-so many choices

The Rabbit Series by John Updike

    Enjoy!

@TobeMrsG - Confederacy of Dunces is one of my all time favorites!  I recently read Those Who Save Us by Jenna Blum and really enjoyed it.

I'm a VC Andrews fan. I just recently finished Heavenstone Secrets and Secret Whispers, her 2 most recent books. I loved them. Her next book comes out sometime in the fall.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played With Fire are awesome!  Actually my boyfriend got me the first one to keep me occupied while he picked up my ring (secret errand), and it was one of those books you can't put down.

It's like a murder mystery/thriller.  We were ecstatic to find out it was part of a TRILOGY!! Reading the second one right now =)

@TobeMrsG - I love American Psycho, too. My fiance has a lot of Calvino books and I've read selected short stories from each but not any books as a whole. Good stuff.

Wanted to make a post asking this but realized there is one out there.

Any bees have some books they'd like to share.

I just finished "The Pact" by Jodi Picoult. Couldn't put it down!
