I’ve been on a search for shampoo/conditioner that works well with wavy hair. My hair is fairly long, and has a natural wave. However, the longer it gets the “flatter” the top gets. Lots of layers usually solves the problems, but I can’t do that with the hairstyle I want for the wedding. I’ve tried various volumizing shampoos, and they tend to make my hair frizzier than anything else.
I’m pretty lazy when it comes to styling my hair. If anything, I’ll blowdry it, but typically I like to let it dry naturally.
I’m looking for something that accentuates waves/volume, without increasing frizz. Any suggestions?

It sounds like your hair is really similar to mine! Like you said, I usually combat the problem with layers.
Volumizing shampoos are the worst for me. I steer very clear of them.
John Frieda’s old shampoo and conditioner for curls worked wonders for me both in terms of accentuating my natural wave/curl and keeping frizz at bay. Unfortunately, since they discontinued that line, I’ve been drifting from one shampoo to the next to find a suitable replacement. So I feel your pain!
What kind of products do you use? Only asking because I tend to buy most of my hair products at the drugstore, so any suggestions I have wouldn’t be helpful if you don’t go the drugstore route (which many women on here do not). 🙂

@Gemstone: I’ve been buying most of my stuff at CVS, but going for the salon brands. I’ve tried Rusk, Redken, Nexxus, and some others.
In terms of products other than shampoo/conditioner, I use a Bed Head mousse when I blow dry my hair, but it doesn’t work well when I let it dry naturally (which is 90% of the time in the summer).
I’m very low maintenance when it comes to my hair, I want to do as little as possible. So, it’s just shampoo, conditioner, and the mousse when I blow dry.
