They put it UNDER your door mat??  Weird.  And they actually knocked!?  I’ve never had a UPS/FEDEX any delivery guy knock unless it was something that was signature required.  Geez!  Good thing you found the source of the knock… I’d be calling Fiance to come back if it wasnt a FEXEX delivery!!

I’m just guessing he knocked because you live in an apartment complex and if you didn’t know the package was out there, someone could have taken it.  But that’s pretty late for Fedex to be delivering something.

On the bright side, at least they didn’t destroy 90% of your reception decor like UPS did with me…oh the joys of long distance wedding planning. Glad you’re ok!!!

I was mad at them yesterday! It was like 9 in the morning, which isn’t super early but I was up late and planned on sleeping in until at least 11, and I hear somebody honk. So then they ring the door bell and leave. At about 2ish I finally went out and got my stuff, 4 glass mother of pearl hurricane candle holders, open the box and the bottom of one is completly smashed and another is cracked all down one side. I now need two more to line the aisle, but the store doesn’t exchange online items. I have to ship them back, wait 2 to 3 weeks for a refund, and get two more which might also arrive broken.

@peaches13: FedEx freaked me out this morning while I was getting in the shower. *bang bang bang!* on the door. I just pretended I wasn’t home hoping whoever it was would go away. I got my package off the door later. Dang, I’d be petrified if I were you at almost 9pm, heck, I was a scaredy-cat at 8:30AM. Hahah.

fedex makes me crazy! I ordered a wedding ring and  I requested to pick it up at a fedex/kinkos — I didn’t want them to bring it to my apartment because I wouldn’t be there. they didn’t get the message on time and brought it to my apartment anyway! my apt manager signed for it, but that means it was sitting out in front of my door. if it had been stolen, it would have been out of my pocket because somebody signed for it!

so, that ring wasn’t right for me and I returned it. when I ordered another ring, again, I requested that I could pick it up myself. once again, they tried to bring it to my apartment! this time, there was nobody to sign for it, so I had to wait until the next day before I could get it.

I called the help line and the idiot guy was like “uhhhhh……. that wasn’t supposed to happen….” I asked him how I could prevent it in the future and he was like “uh…. I don’t know because that wasn’t supposed to happen….” then he probably started drooling on himself.

seriously, he sounded like a stoned teenager who never worked in customer service. Fedex is SO ANNOYING!

i put a note on my door that says “UPS / USPS / FED EX – please deliver box to front office”  because i live in apartment complex, so my front door is outside and the front office is open all day and would my package for me.  well, UPS and USPS can read clearly and follow instructions. but Fed Ex has a problem with this concept.

I’m sorry they scared you and woke you up.

For us FedEx sometimes likes to deliver our stuff to a house about 2 blocks away, it is the same number as our house and the street name starts with the same letter… We found out that this happened when we got their deliveries sometimes. It used to be bad, because the people who used to live there didn’t speak english and got very mad at us when we tried to deliver their packages. But now it is okish, because the current people who live there are very nice. If we are expecting a package and it dosn’t show up we go to their house.

Why one earth would they put it under the mat? That’s not hidden from anyone but an infant who hasn’t learned the ojects don’t just disappear.
