Leftover... straight out of the fridge. I love leftover cold take-out. The sauce is all still congealed to the food... mmmmmm
I def like mine fresh and crunchy!! Some of the leftovers are still good but some things get soggy.
both, preferably on the sofa with a Ben and Jerry's chaser.
Which is why I'm now on Weight Watchers
i think it can go either way. there are some things that don't rewarm well, some that i like to eat cold as left overs out of the fridge (chicken fingers, beef or chicken teryiaki- sp??), and some that are just as yummy rewarmed (lo mien, chicken & broccoli). mmmmm... now i want chinese food=)
I have not had Chinese food in so long! Giving me cravings!
I voted fresh, but I like both. I've been into cold steamed dumplings lately, FI thinks it's disgusting.
eh. normally i'd say fresh - but i just heard a story the other day about how chinese restaurants use leftover veggies from your plate after you leave to serve to other guests. apparently they rinse them off, warm 'em up, and serve em to someone else!
I never like anything cold... even pizza! So I choose straight from the restaurant. Next best thing is heated up, because I can never waste leftovers. Poor college student!
Well I'm not a big chinese food person but the one thing I absolutely love is the Pei Wei Spicy, and my fav part is the crunchy pea pods.... so it has got to be fresh :)
Fresh...some things don't taste the same the next day. That said they'll still get eaten :)
I used to be fresh only, but I learned how to reheat and now leftover is almost better! Avoid the microwave! I use the stove or toaster oven to reheat everything. Crispy things get crispier and so so good! I add a little water or chicken stock- if I have an open box in the fridge to any rice to bring it back to life and avoid dried out rice.
@Lindsay12.31.2010: i know, right?! who knows if it's true or not. i've probably eaten worse and not known it...
Depends on what it is. If it's anything like wontons or lemon chicken with a crispy coating, then fresh for sure. Stuff like fried rice and chow mein is fine either way, IMO
@jindc: That sounds really good right now... and the best I have is 3 trays of cinnamon rolls (thank you finals for making me stress bake)
Definitely fresh for the fried stuff, the rest is just as good the next day
Mmmm...now I want Chinese. Sadly in the 1.5 years we have lived in Edmonton we have not found a decent place to get it. So we have given up:(
It depends. Some things are much better fresh and don't taste good cold or reheated at all (eggrolls for example). Most things are good either way.

There seems to be great debate over whether Chinese food is best FRESH or LEFTOVER. I'm on team "eat as much as you can straight from the restaurant while it's still hot", while my husband thinks it tastes better warmed up the next day.
What say you, bees?
