I think a recent 30 Rock episode (the Boston trip one) hit the nail on the head when it comes to winter crankiness. EVERYONE in my office is feeling it, and the general public seems to have more ruffled feathers than normal. It’s the winter blues, and especially the past few weeks, I’ve noticed myself getting SO annoyed over stupid things that shouldn’t annoy me.
1. Coworkers who brush their teeth in the public bathrooms. I hate the “someone just brushed their teeth in here” smell and I want to scream, “I brush my teeth twice a day and don’t have any cavities!” But really, I know there’s nothing wrong with having a healthy smile and that it shouldn’t bother me.
2. Coworkers who sneeze really, really loud and startle me. I want to smack them on the head, but deep down, I know they can’t help it, so why does it tick me off so much?!

ugh! i am with you on random annoyances you can’t kick…
how about..when you want to call in sick, but feel bad about it, then end up going to work and finding out you didn’t need to be there for some reason or another, and then, because of some strange situation, you not only can’t leave, you’re asked to stay longer…wait, did that just happen to me this weekend? haha =)

@krissycake: Oh my god, I will often come into work when I clearly need to stay home, and only out of guilt! It’s awful. I always feel like I’ll miss out on important work or something, and then when the day is over, I think to myself, “I should have stayed home!”

I get bothered with stupid things all the time like my boyfriend has a “myspace” thing and he hardly gets on but when he does its like “who the hell are you talking to? everyone has your phone number if they need to get ahold of you!”. so stupid i know and thats just me being my paranoid self.
