So, I'm thinking of chopping my hair off.  I want a nice, professional cut.  Something above my neckline but below my ears.  Mister hates the idea.  What is up with men and hair.  Aren't these styles very professional and sexy?

I love short hair and luckily...my FI loves whatever I rock with confidence. I love the first one better b/c I prefer sleeker bobs but both styles are nice.

I absolutely love the styles, the first one in particular.  My hair is really long (mid-lower back) and FI panick at the idea that I MIGHT want to cut them after the wedding... However, I think that once it's done and you man sees it, he'll like it more than he thinks... Men are not big on change, but after it's done, they're usually happy... and not, hair grow back, right?

How's your hair now, any pics?

I like number one! FI likes my hair better long, too. He just doesn't like it short. idk why, but it's annoying since I prefer mine that way. haha.

I love the first one! I just did my PWC and I'm not sure if I like it. Wish I'd gone with something more like the first pic.

my hair length right now is a bit below my mid-back and i want to cut it short, but since wedding is next september, i'll probably trim it a bit and keep it long until after the wedding. then, i am going to CHOP IT OFF!!

Ooooh I love both of them! What does you hair look like now? Do you have a pic you could share? Short hair is definitely not for everyone, but the styles you posted are beautiful. However, you have to remember that they are celebrities with hair people following them around.

Go for it!  my FI doesn't like short hair either, but too bad because I'm getting a pixie cut after the wedding :o)  It's not their hair, so not their business!

FI hates short hair, but LOVES my sassy 'do. I helped sell him on it initially by promising to buy a wig to wear around the house (ONLY!). LOL.

I think you should do it!  Or maybe, for your mans sake, do it gradually.  Try a longer cut and keep going shorter.  I'm thinking maybe he's afraid of the change but once you do it he'll love it.  Both of those cuts are so great.

Well, after some discussion with my mom, I'll be doing the post-wedding chop.  By then, my hair will be about 5-6 inches longer than it is now, maybe more.  I'm be somewhat conservative in my hair growth estimate.  It grows like weeds.  Last year, My hair was cut in a cute little bob, below my ears.   It is now to my shoulders (in its natural state) and past my shoulders (slightly above my bra strap).   I don't have pictures of me on my work laptop, but here are some pictures I found on Goodle images that look very similar to my hair (in its natural state and when I've used the blow dryer or flat iron).    Since I don't know who these ladies are (and they are not celebrities) I did some whiting out of their facial features.

@91011...One of my friends has ...well HAD...hair length and texture similar to yours. She wore it long for her wedding and cut it off afterwards....hers is a little shorter than crebre's now when it's flatironed out. She wears a layered bob more similar to the second pic at the top. Her new husband LOVES her haircut. As long as they have enough to run their fingers through...guys are usually cool about us changing our hairstyles =)

@ja bride: omg i cut 15 inches off for the first picture (due to issues with my hair falling out, thanks Mirena!!)... i LOVED it short.  M saw a picture of me when it was about an inch above my bra strap and i saw his eyes glass over and he was like WOW... so i asked if he'd like me to grow it back and home boy NODDED!! so i am in the process of growing it back... which works well I suppose because I want longer hair during a wedding.. i dig the chignons.

Oh my gosh I got my hair cut somewhat similar to a bob I guess but it's shorter in the back and longer in the front! I love it so much but it sucks now that the wedding is coming up! I haven't gotten my hair cut in six months (trying to let it grow for the wedding) but it will NOT grow! So now I have to pay to have extensions put in! Whats even worse is that they cut like 11 inches off of my hair when I got it cut! I regret it some because I want long curls for my wedding...but I do really like how easy the style is and how much faster it is to fix!

@ja: yeah trust me i know EXACTLY what you mean since my hair has grown back :D

@bliss: thanks i don't wear my bangs out anymore.. lol it was a one time thing...

@hl: i felt like it took FOREVER for my hair to grow... now it's finally getting a decent length but I still miss my uber long ponytail... at least my hair will be six or eight inches longer in a year :D lol!!

@crebre: I love both of those styles on you.  I really, really like the short cut.  It's very cute!  Here is a picture from this past September  (in it's blow out state - no flat iron).  Still looking for a recent "natural" look.

My FI is funny about hair as well.  About a year and a half ago I cut it into a bob, and he hated it.  He asked me if I would pleasee grow it out for the wedding.  Fortunately I had two years and my hair grows fast.  It is now at my bra line with four more months until the wedding day.  I think I might change the style and dye it after the wedding.  I have auburn hair now (natural) , but I want to go deeper red. :)  That will be a shock for the mister!

@0910: i know right, the short picture is actually the first picture M ever saw of me and he says I don't look like the picture lol!!  And he saw the long hair picture (i have no idea if i can find it no wand was like WOW)

@tbk:i have no idea what themen and hair thing is about... my stylist/close friend asks when i'm cutting it every time and M just smirks.... i tell her if i cut it she's going to have to make room at her house for me.  i miss my bra strap hair... before i cut it to the super short style, parts of mine were at my bra strap but due to my bc at the time it started to break and fall out. i think the red sounds sooo fun!!

I say go for the cut! My hair is short with the back tapered and I'm keeping it that way for the wedding. My FI is a huge fan of short hair. A haircut always has the instant gratification of feeling fresh and new.

@leelee:my stylist asks me EVERY TIME i go to the salon "so when are we cutting it" i'm like look does that mean i'm moving in with you and your hubby?! lol!! and I tell M when I get home and he sort of glares.. he hated the blunt bang and bob, said it looked too much like a wig. I wear my hair like this most of the time...

I love bobs, so naturally I love both of these pictures. My FI prefers long hair and since I have fine, curly hair and don't have the energy to straighten it every morning I suppose he'll get his way for the time being.
