Thanks! The menu there looks like just the type of place we're looking for. I'll have my husband call soon hopefully for reservations... If it's booked up already (which wouldn't surprise me, especially since Vday is on a Sunday), does anyone else have any suggestions?

They have a nice mix of adventure and comfort type foods - small plates - great for sharing. And it's a very chill environment. Personally, I think the French Onion Soup Dumplings are to die for. :) The Hangar Steak & Tots are great as well as the Kobe Sliders.
Mmmm.
One of my favorite romantic restaurants in the city is Piadina, a rustic hole-in-the-wall kinda place in the West Village. Their food is yummy but not too out-there, and it's affordable. It's not super-fancy, but the ambience is really great!
there's a cute, romantic spanish restaurant on west 17th called suenos. the food is yummy and not too expensive. they also have/had a $30 prix-fixed menu. check out their website.
campo on broadway between 112 and 113th is super delish Italian, great atmosphere and def in your price range - if you don't go for valentine's day, i would say make sure to check it out anyway!

So, this will be our 2nd ever Valentine's Day together and our first one as husband as wife. I'd like to be able to go to a nice little restuarant with hubs. I was cruelly remindede by the Valentine's Day display at the grocery store yesterday that it's only a month and a half away! Val day always sneeks up like that... anyway, we need to get our reservations going! I don't really know where we should go though. I would kind of like to dress nice, just a nice little black dress or something, nothing crazy. Nothing super expensive, but willing to pay $25-ish for an entree. Cheaper being better lol Food wise, I'm not too adventerous. I'll eat chicken or beef, but not into foie gras or caviar or anything. Hubby will eat anything though. I don't like seafood, but hubby does. I wouldn't mind a seafood place as long as they have one or two things I can choose from that are fish and seafood free (pasta, chicken entree, etc). Anyway, that's about it. Suggestions?
